New addition to the driveway: bZ XLE Plus

New addition to the driveway: bZ XLE Plus

Took the long way home from the dealership with a 2-hour drive, and just loved it -- even in holiday traffic! Chatting with the finance guy after everything was said and done while I waited on them to bring it back from the car wash, he said for the past 4-5 months they're selling 12 bZs a month.

The hardest thing to deal with on my maiden voyage: getting myself to stop checking the gas prices on the interstate billboards. Hahaha

Has anyone installed a device like an Ancel BS400 to mitigate 12V issues?

I see several recommendations for a NOCO GS40 booster and an Ancel monitor, but when I was looking around at Ancel's site, I found the AS400, which is a "permanent" booster with Bluetooth monitor. It even has a force start trigger. I know it's more expensive than the booster and monitor separately, but has anyone installed something like the AS400? How/where did you affix it to the engine bay?

Joining the bZ fam

I finalized a deal for a '26 bZ XLE Plus with the panoramic roof. It took two days of back and forth negotiating to get it to 16.5% off MRSP. I take delivery next Saturday!

We're close to being rid of this thing, boys!

Went in for an oil change on Friday. Great mechanic I would trust with my dog's life. He said I have yet another oil leak, coming from somewhere, and it would take a lot of cleaning and chasing it down to figure out where, but it's a very slow leak because my oil level wasn't low.

However, there's extensive rust on the front and rear shocks and struts, the CV axles, the tie rods, the ball joints, and basically everything else. He said the repair bill would cost more than the car is worth. So I'm going to drive it for a while longer and let the '27s come out and get myself an EV.

Owning a Cruze for 11 years has convinced me I want nothing to do with anything that could leak oil ever again. It's a 2015 1.4 LT with just under 54,000 miles.

I guess I'll never see the dash without the TPMS light on again since the tires are still showing 7/32 on all sides and I had no plans to fix the sensors until I replaced the tires.
