Theories about Arcana?

I was wondering if a lot of you have theories about Arcana and her origins.

I mean the best and most obvious one I have is that she's the Gnostic Demiurge or I guess has made herself into one. I also think she's not as entirely deified as we're led to believe. She could be a sort of Awakened like Charon and the manifestation of the anger of Arcanists for being persecuted throughout history.

Is Charon one of the Four Horsemen?

Just a general question as I'm still getting through the story but Charon is an awakened that represents war, specifically World War 1 in a timeline where it goes on until the 1920's. I'm curious if anyone has covered the idea that Charon could be one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?

Personally if he or if he isn't, he's a unique take on the representation of war itself. Instead of being a brute that encourages it, Charon is somber and mournful because of the cost of war.

Crossover Idea:

Hear me out but a Bioshock crossover with Reverse 1999.

Bioshock could easily fit in the world if Reverse 1999 as a failed undersea city that now is attempting to be claimed by Manus with its incredible arcanum/scientific technology information.

Finished Chapter 7 (Spoiler)

So who gave Bluepoch permission to make me cry? Watching 37 crying and reaching for the people she's known all her life willingly let themselves be washed away by the "Storm" while in Vienna, Kakania stood triumphant having successfully cast the incantation only to realize that despite the effort to save as many as possible, she was the only one who survived.

Just...wow.

Walk the Depths

Hi, I created this in Clip Studio Paint using watercolor brushes, marker brushes, and pencil and ink brushes.

I kinda of like R1999's Gacha System

Coming from Identity V, if I compared the two, R1999's system is much more forgiving. With IDV, if you want the S-Tier essence skin, you either had to be lucky or go full pity and then you can never get it again.

For costumes in R1999 I can outright purchase them and with characters, I always have a chance to pull them so FOMO isn't much of a problem. Yeah it's annoying to get the same characters in a draw but eventually you pull someone new and you're not in a rush to get them.

I hope Anil becomes a crewmember

I don't see him as a 6 star but maybe 5 to 4 (I think he's also hiding how powerful he can be so who knows). Leave it to me to cling onto a minor character. I wanna say he'd be in the Intellect afflatus but knowing how he's a pigment merchant, maybe plant or mineral instead? And likely an alchemist type.

Story wise, Anil would have every reason to join team Timekeeper if only to avenge Muriel and their friends from their original time because it was Manus Vindictae that caused the "Storm" in the first place. Though he'd maybe be more reluctant but it would also be a chance to at least form new bonds with people who have also gone through what he's gone through, especially Vertin and Sotheby.

And get to know Ramona more even if in a past life she was Teresita.

EDIT: Also I really like his design and how much of a foil he is to Lorentz Butterfly. He looks far more decorated than other NPC's from what I can tell.

Poetic

I just realized it's actually really poetic that Butterfly is colorblind and can't see blue and how Anil's name is "blue" (correct me if I'm off).

I'm probably acting like Captain Obvious here but it's cool because that's their dynamic. Butterfly feels in control when figuring people out but she can't figure him out. She's "Colorblind" to Anil.

Lorentz Butterfly's American Accent

Out of curiosity, is that how we sound to a lot of people outside the U.S?

The American accent Lorentz Butterfly used was actually too direct sounding.

Is that what that's like when people try to sound like they're from somewhere??

Just Started Playing and...

I came here from Identity V because of the boycott happening and thought I'd take a look at Reverse 1999 (the artwork is real pretty)

Holy schmoly, Manus Vindictae is at least categorized as a terrorist group but St. Pavlov is literal legal child soldiers! Is that that ever really brought up?

To be fair, I just finished the origin of how Vertin became the Timekeeper, so not that far in yet. I also finished the Endless Spring event (I got Paper Heron too).

Also the way the "Storm" erases eras...is it complete erasure or just that particular point in time because that would mean Schneider still would exist just not in that particular time period anymore.

A lot of people see Edd as Neurodivegent but...

Ed fits into being Neurodivergent too;

I mean, there's the fact that he's seen as dumb and well...he is...but like he's displayed a lot of intelligence over things he has more interest in like comics, and movies. He's generally a good guy honestly and stands up for what he thinks is right, has trouble with certain sensory input i.e. pebble in his shoe, and I know a lot of neurodivergent people tend to have an issue in regards to bathing. He can eat anything but he has specific foods he likes, jawbreakers, gravy, buttered toast, and buttered toast with gravy and the dude's focus is all over the place.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Base for White Chocolate and Strawberries?

I was wondering if the base dough for a chocolate chip cookies, as in the dough without the chips, would taste well with strawberries and white chocolates or if I should go lighter?

I will say I follow the recipe on the chocolate chip packages but I also brown the butter and add salt (if the butter is unsalted of course).

Should I use dried strawberries or are chopped strawberries good too?

So anyone else craved the jawbreakers from Ed Edd n Eddy? The way the kids went nuts for them made them sound way better than actual jawbreakers in real life.
