UPDATE !!! - Here is my L2 charging setup works like a charm shared with my dryer so far! - What do you guys think? -
Thanks for everyone's input about this whole thing. Based on what I learned from all of you, I ripped this thing off and returning it right away. So I decided to go for a professional setup install. Here is my experience with 8 different local electricians so far: I never knew electricians were this out of control! They are worse than dentists! I had bids anywhere from $300 up to $3K from 8 different ones so far and they all talk bad about the other guy's recommendations. Also they all claim they installed the similar stuff many times for Tesla Cybertrucks, which is weird! One of them was very awkward to talk to: when I told him this is for an EV charger and I want EV grade hardware, such as GFCI breaker and the receptacle, he said no need, unless you like being bend over, because they are very expensive. He also claimed it's not in the code, which I checked the code of my state at buildings department website prior to meeting with these guys, I even printed out to show it to them, he said I don't know how to look up the code. Another one compared installation for EV to his electric stove, he said I can use the same breakers on this, I've been using it for 5 years, didn't have a problem with it, so I can do the same here. Honestly I am so frustrated, I gave up on L2 charging, going with L1 only now! I was even mad at my self buying an EV for a second! Screw this sh..t!
