This one is just an example of a big chef i made. It has 36cm blade (14,5inch).
Question for smiths and knifemakers who work with laminated steel or things alike: what steel do you prefer covering in softer metals and why?
I am a knifemaker but i buy my steel from smiths, and where i live, people tend to laminate only high wear resistant and expensive steel. And i am thinking why. I would like to see steels like cpm 3v laminated etc. Is there technological issues?
