Hi all, RIPP will be hosting an event this Sunday, October 4th from 2 pm - 5 pm in the East Providence Public Library.

The movement against ALPR's in general (not just Flock cameras) is growing nationwide. There have been some small successes in our state as some communities have voted to cancel their Flock contracts. Momentum is building, but there is still MUCH MORE to be done!

This event will focus on other types of traffic cameras as well as Flock cameras.

WHEN: Sunday October 4th from 2-5 pm

WHERE: East Providence Public Library, 41 Grove Avenue

As always, this event is about education, asking questions, and community organizing.

Hi all, RIPP will be hosting an event this Saturday, August 15th at 10 am in the Providence Public Library.

For those that have previously attended one of our events, thank you! We hope to see you again as the movement against ALPRs is growing rapidly in our little state, its communities, and the nation.

This event will be slightly different than previous because we will have several wonderful guest speakers:

• Madalyn McGunagle, Policy Associate with the RI ACLU
• Dr. Robyn Linde, Professor of Political Science at Rhode Island College

WHEN: Saturday, August 15th at 10 am

WHERE: Providence Public Library, 150 Empire St.

I represent a growing group in RI called Rhode Islanders for Personal Privacy (RIPP). We are a grassroots group of Rhode Islanders fighting government and corporate surveillance and AI abuses.

We will be hosting an informational session that will discuss the concerns with Flock cameras and what we can do about it.
