Their appearance is more varied—ashen-pale to bronze-skinned, but always marked by ritual scarring and soot stained power armor. To them, this is not a flaw, but a sign: they are not bound to the past. They are the fire’s future.

Founded during the final years of the 36th millennia, amid a period of terrible instability. Numerous Imperial worlds had become trapped in prolonged siege wars against numerous threats. Entire systems fell and many Imperial armies were ground to extinction attempting to reclaim them.

Recognizing the need for a new breed of siege specialists, the High Lords of Terra authorized the creation of a Space Marine Chapter derived from the gene-seed of the Blood Angels.
