**Reliable**

B-Roll Researcher / Assistant Video Editor.

You’ll receive a completed 10–15 minute script and your main job will be to find and organize relevant B-roll, historical footage, photos, press material, ads, clips, memes, visuals from magazine articles, and other visuals in chronological order based on the script that is provided that emphasizes the content being told the best.

Deadlines are to be expected for product delivery. To be ironed out during onboarding.

You are not expected to create the final edit.

The goal is to give our primary editor an organized visual package they can immediately work from.

• Responsibilities include:
• Researching B-roll and visual assets
• Organizing footage by script section
• Providing source links and timestamps
• Finding multiple options for every moment.
• Flagging sections where good visuals are difficult to find
• Occasionally helping organize project assets or locate higher-quality footage

Automotive knowledge is a big plus. Strong research skills, organization, reliability, and good visual instincts matter more than advanced editing experience.

Pay: $50-75$ Per project, depending on experience.

This position is not limited to the USA, but fluent English speaking and understanding of American culture and automotive culture are most preferred.

Beginners are welcome if you can demonstrate strong research and organization skills.

When applying, please send me a message with the potato emoji so I know you actually read this and relevant work/examples if available, your favorite automotive YouTube channel, and what you would charge for work such as this.

[HIRING] Long-Form YouTube Editor — Automotive / Motion Graphics

We’re looking for a freelance video editor for a new long-form automotive YouTube project.

This is paid work, with the potential to develop into an ongoing relationship if we find the right person.

Our content is primarily story-driven automotive entertainment: talking-head/A-roll mixed with automotive footage, archival material, images, graphics, sound design, music, and occasional comedic visual bits.

We’re looking for someone who is strong at more than simply cutting footage together.

Ideally, you understand:
• Long-form YouTube pacing and retention
• Storytelling and comedic timing
• B-roll and archival footage integration
• Motion graphics and simple animation
• Sound design and music
• Visual punchlines and editing for comedy
• Clean text, maps, diagrams, timelines, etc. when needed
• How to make a talking-head video visually interesting without making it feel obnoxiously over-edited

Automotive knowledge is a big plus, but it isn’t necessarily required if you’re genuinely interested in cars and willing to learn.

We’re particularly interested in editors who can contribute creatively. If you see an opportunity for a joke, visual gag, better transition, callback, sound effect, graphic, or pacing change, we want you to feel comfortable making that decision rather than waiting for an instruction for every cut.

At the same time, we’re NOT looking for constant subtitles, random zooms, memes every three seconds, or TikTok/Shorts-style editing stretched across a long-form video.

The goal is polished, entertaining, personality-driven YouTube content where the editing helps tell the story.
We’re still developing the project, so we’re intentionally keeping some details private until we speak with potential editors.

If interested, please DM us with:
• Your portfolio
• 2–3 examples that best represent your long-form editing
• Any automotive work you’ve done
• Motion graphics / After Effects examples if applicable
• Your typical rate for a long-form YouTube video
• What editing and motion graphics software you primarily work in
• A little about yourself and the type of content you enjoy editing
• Which asset libraries or creative platforms you regularly work with — Motion Array, Envato Elements, Epidemic Sound, Canva, Artlist, Storyblocks, etc.
• Are you comfortable independently sourcing music, SFX, stock footage, images, graphics, and motion graphic assets from those services?
• Do you have experience modifying templates and motion graphic assets so they feel custom to the video rather than obviously template-based?
• Are you comfortable working inside Canva or similar tools when project graphics/templates are provided there?
• How do you normally handle licensing and organization of third-party assets used in a finished video?
• Do you currently maintain subscriptions to any of these services, or do you normally work through subscriptions/accounts provided by the client?

Hiring will consist of a paid, short test.
Candidates under consideration will be asked for a full, paid, test.

Please don’t just send a generic reel if possible.
We’d much rather watch one or two complete videos that show how you handle pacing, storytelling, comedy, and visual decisions over several minutes.

200$ Flat Rate is available. This is not the ceiling nor is this the start.

Thanks!
