Best shoes for November

Not sure if this the right sub for this but going to Sicily in November and want shoes that can help prevent slipping on wet cobblestones, are comfortable for lots of walking, and are water resistant/waterproof. I wore Skecher Slip-in Sneakers last summer in Northern Italy and found myself slipping several times, even when the area was dry.

Considering Vessis and Blundstone Chelsea boot with Vibram soles.

Bought a pair of Doc Martens last year and realize they are more of a fashion thing and will take forever to break in.

Since November is prone to rain, I'm leaning towards the Blundstones. I live in Upstate NY so I know I will get lots of use from them.

Note: I have high arches and need hood support but could get a pair of Superfeet insoles to help.

Just a heads up that cash back at Kitchen Aid thru Rakuten is now 15% up from 3% during their current promotion. Not sure if any others have a promotion like this but definitely worth checking out if you're considering a Kitchen Aid machine.
