Seeing soshi clips lose pixels slowly with each repost feel like hieroglyphics that are eventually no longer legible with time

So this is gonna be silly.

The other day someone said looking for old snsd shows is archeology, and as ridiculous as it sounds it can sometimes feel a little like that

This clip was so blurry my brain thought of the title.

Ps. Anyone have any idea what show this is

Whole archive of files on synology nas has ":" in it, needs to be accessible on mac, is there a translation layer or anything that could work?

Hi everyone,

So I did something really dumb, and I'm not sure what to do.

I used to do gallery-dl on my mac. and in the config it had ":" in the filenames.

Somehow, mac os never complained and i never noticed. no idea why.

A while ago i switched my gallery-dl to be on my synology nas, and moved the config file over.

I always thought that smb just had weird filelength issues, which i have seen on the mac before so i accessed the nas with my iphone via sftp, and for months and months I've been downloading stuff to the nas and then checking with my phone.

and today i just realised that on both mac and pc I now can no longer access the files due to ":"

I genuinely don't understand how the first part is possible, because mac os doesnt let you use ":" when trying to rename files.

I'm not sure which is possible/harder to fix,

If window's compatibility is gone, its not ideal.

if mac comparability is gone, it's really bad.

Anyone have any ideas? I know theres some things to convert mac os characters to work on windows, I'm hoping theres something like this from linux to mac.

Thanks for any suggestions, and if i missed any important info i should share please let me know.

using a linux box only to view the files, and renaming are both very impractical at the moment so i hope they arent the only options.

Ideally theres a translation later that can change the ":" to - or anything else.
