Even neighbouring countries had patients being treated in Zim. Professor Chinyanga who recently died this past month was the one who led Zim to its first open heart surgery program in 1989. He was conferred hero status but the family opted not to have him buried at the Heroes Acre. He did so much to shape our medical faculties at UZ,NUST and MSU. Now we are reduced to a laughing stock for SAns who dont have a clue about how this leads to more people looking for health facilities in South Africa. Its like fetching water with a basket.
