How common are Female-Led Relationships (FLRs) in India? Curious to hear real experiences.

I've been reading about Female-Led Relationships (FLRs) lately, and it got me wondering how common they actually are in India.

I'm not talking about BDSM or kink. I mean relationships where the woman naturally takes the lead ,whether that's making important decisions, taking initiative, being the more dominant personality, managing finances, planning life together, or simply having a relationship dynamic where the man is happy letting her lead.

Online, it seems like there are communities and discussions around FLRs, but I'm not sure how much of that reflects real life here.

For those who've experienced something similar (or know people who have):

  • Did it happen naturally, or was it something you both intentionally wanted?
  • How did your family or friends react, if they even knew?
  • Do you think Indian men and women are generally open to this dynamic, or is it still considered unusual?
  • Is FLR something people openly talk about with their partners, or does it just evolve without ever putting a label on it?

I'd especially love to hear from women. Is leading a relationship something you would genuinely enjoy, or would you rather have an equal partnership or a more traditional dynamic?

No judgments at all .I'm just genuinely curious about how common this is in India versus how common it appears online.

Hey makkale,

Serious curiosity question. 😅

Kinks or fetishes nu sonna, adhu pathi unga life la eppo first therinjuchu? Adha openly discuss pannuveengala illa adhu romba private ah vechukuveengala?

Relationship irundha partner kitta mattum dhaan share pannuveengala? Illa close friends kitta kooda pesuveengala?

Also, India/Tamil side la idha discuss panna people usually enga pesuvaanga?

  • Reddit communities?
  • Anonymous apps?

Single ah irukravanga idha explore panna enna pannuvaanga? Just read pannitu irupaangala, community join pannuvaangala, illa wait until they're in a relationship?

Boys um girls um perspective kekkanum nu dhaan indha post.

No judgement at all. Just trying to understand how people actually approach this in real life.

Thanks! 🙌

25M and feeling like life is moving without me

Just turned 25 two weeks ago, and honestly I’ve been feeling really low lately.

Feels like everyone around me is moving forward in life while I’m stuck somewhere far behind. Career, relationships, confidence, social life, everything feels all over the place.

I deal with a lot of low self-esteem and inferiority complex, and sometimes even simple things feel hard when your mind keeps comparing yourself with everyone around you.

The worst part is feeling alone in it. Looking at the world around me honestly feels like I’m living in a completely different universe from everyone else.

People talk about dating, trips, friendships, career growth, achievements and sometimes I sit there wondering if I missed some important phase of life somewhere.

Would love to connect with people, gain some confidence, learn from others, and maybe slowly figure life out along the way.

Anyone else feel socially late in life?

Just turned 25 M a few weeks ago, and honestly… I’ve never really had a proper social circle, let alone female friends.

Growing up, there were barely any girls around me, and dating always felt like something happening in a completely different world. Maybe it was my family environment or just how life turned out, but I never really got exposed to that side of life.

Even making this post feels a little weird for me 😅

I guess I’m here mainly to meet new people, make friends, and maybe get a woman’s perspective on life too. Sometimes I feel like I’ve been stuck in my own bubble for too long.

I’m pretty easygoing, more of an ambivert/introvert type. Into sports, TV shows, music, movies in theatres, random conversations, and just chilling.

Not really sure what else to say, but yeah… trying something different for once.
