Busy day in the heat!! It was 97 today with 58% humidity 🥵🥵 didn't stop them from coming out! $3700 in sales and 87 donors.

Only had one idiot. Some out of town Karen asked my cashier how much a dress was. My employee didn't see the markup tag, and assumed it was just a normal dress, so she told Karen $10.

On checkout, my cashier noticed the mark-up tag, and the dress was $20, not $10. Karen threw a fit and wanted to see a manager 😁😁😂🤣

Y'all already know how bad an idea it is to get me involved if you don't have to. I went down, and the situation was explained, and Karen asked if I was going to "honor" my employee misquoting the price 😂🤣

I literally laughed at this woman 😂🤣 told her in no way would that be happening, and she can either pay the $20 or not. She tried to argue, but I stopped her. Informed her that she has a better chance of getting that dress to copy itself through mitosis than to get any kind of discount from me 😂🤣 and once again, she can either pay the $20 or not.

She paid the full price and left 😂🤣

Now, onto my weekend and y'all's boxes 😁

Dinner tonight is grilled shrimp 😋 taking advantage of grilling weather! Shrimp tossed in lime juice and tajin then lightly grilled 😁 I'm having a simple garden salad with it; lettuce, cherry tomatoes, olives, green onions, and garlic/cheese croutons with ranch dressing 😋

It's freakishly hot again 🥵 it was 97 with 50% humidity today. Just muggy and nasty. We had 73 donors and did $3800 in sales, though.

Nobody was energetic enough to be a dick today 😂🤣 it was too hot to even be an asshole. So a relatively quiet day. Got 6 black bins of donations trimmed down to one, and I'll be doing that again tomorrow, so we'll have less to push in and out of the warehouse.

It's STILL 92 as I'm doing this post, so I ain't cooking in this 😂🤣 it's pizza night! Got a sausage and olive with extra cheese and an order of pesto cheese garlic bread 😁

It got hot here again. 92 today. So I just hung around town. Got a couple errands done and finished off some boxes. Took me a couple weeks with vacation, my mom's heart attack, and getting sick, but I'm caught back up!

Work tomorrow, and I have another week of being stuck solo in charge. Hopefully we have a calmer week and I don't have to stop myself from strangling so many of them.

Dinner tonight is grilled chicken thighs 😋 took advantage of the warm weather and busted out the grill one more time. Simple seasoning; salt, pepper, garlic, and onion. Grilled up some asparagus and portobello mushroom caps to go with 😁

DMV was easy, but I have to wear glasses while driving now! My left eye is BAD without them. But it's done!

Got a little shopping done while I was out. Costco has pumpkin strudel muffins out 😋😛 delicious.

Took the rest of the day off, just did some box stuff as I watched different things on YouTube and Hulu today.

Dinner tonight is Irish stew from Costco. It was on sale, and if you Dr it up with some seasoning and extra veg, it's pretty good!

Insanity in donations today. We only did $2600 in sales, but had 152 donors today. Just non stop back there. So much crap I'm gonna have to send some to other stores.

Now, onto my weekend! I have DMV tomorrow morning, then I'll be doing boxes the rest of my weekend. I have 25 I think to get to! They stacked up while I was on my vacation, but I'll knock a bunch of em out this weekend 😁

Dinner tonight is Doritos Locos Taco Dip 😁 all you do is make taco meat however you like to. Then add beans, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, sour cream, hot sauce, and jalapeno. Build it into a bowl like a layer dip. Then use Doritos to dip 😁😋

Really busy day. Especially donations wise. $3300 on 122 donors. Constantly busy in the back. Got some good stuff, though!

Pretty calm overall day. Only a couple of the usual annoyances. 2 homeless guys lurking by the pod; a couple bitchy boomers booming away; and a Karen who just couldn't comprehend how we wouldn't take a return from a different Goodwill. All in all, decent day.

Dinner tonight is bean and cheese burritos 😁 I take a can of refried beans and add an equal or slightly greater amount of shredded cheddar and Monterey jack. Let it all melt into one big emulsion, then slap in on a charred tortilla with some hot sauce and diced tomatoes 😋

Had a busy Friday. 88 donors and $3600 in sales. 153 paying customers. And nobody annoyed me today!

I know it's not gonna last 😂😘 having an easy day today means I'll be full of jabroni's tomorrow. So hopefully I don't have to bring out the hammer.

One weird thing: we got a letter from our local PD. They're claiming that our alarm has gone off falsely 3 times this year, and will charge us a fine if it does it again.

Problem is, I'm the one who gets notified when it goes off. I keep the text notifications. I can prove cause each time. So! I'll be having a not so nice "conversation" with the moron in admin who sent the letter tomorrow. I'll be sure to include the Chief of Police, who's one of my poker buddies 😁

Dinner tonight is loaded baked potatoes! I've got bacon, chives, green onions, cheddar, sour cream, butter, and broccoli 😁

I'm dying 🤣😂 this cold is something else. My head feels like it weighs 50 pounds, and every time I cough, it's like it's trying to split open. Luckily, this is still better than it was last night, so yay improvement! 😂🤣

I got some box stuff done, but that's it. I'm taking NyQuil and ibuprofen and hoping I pass out!

Dinner tonight is an extra large Coke slurpee and an Its-It 😁

I'm sick. Have a pretty gnarly head cold. I just took a bunch of pills and a shot of NyQuil, so hopefully I'm passed the f out soon.

Had an average day. $3200 on 71 donors. Luckily no stupidity today. I really might have hurt one of them had they acted up with me feeling like shit 😂🤣

My mom has Dr appointments for her heart for the next 2 days, so I don't even really have recovery time. So I'm hoping to sleep this one out tonight.

Dinner tonight is a GIANT Coke slurpee and mint chocolate chip ice cream, because I want cold stuff!

My mom is back home! 4 stents later. And she may have to have a bypass anyway!! But at least she's home now.

I spent today recovering from the drive and getting reorganized. I came home to a staggering 20 box requests! So I'll be starting those in the order in which they were received 😁

Dinner tonight is fried bologna sandwiches with mac and cheese 😋 I always use thick cut bologna and cut the rounds in half to prevent curling. I get good caramelization on them, let a couple dark spots and crispness develop. Just into a hot pan with some butter. Then I toast the bread and slather on a mayo/mustard/hot sauce mix. Then sliced pickles, enough to completely cover the bread. Then 4-5 bologna pieces per sandwich with a nice, thick tomato slice.

I cheat with the box mac and cheese. I'll buy an extra box just to get an extra cheese powder packet. I'll save the noodles from the extra box for later, and use the cheese powder from 2 boxes into one. That lets me put in extra milk and butter, make it extra thick and creamy 😋

So far, so good!! Can't believe I found the Jason mask at a random Walmart on Clairemont!

I'm in San Diego, in my hotel room, watching the NFL kickoff, about to order takeout from my favorite Chinese place, Szechuan House on Mira Mesa Blvd 😁😋

I'm leaving in 30 minutes 😁 car is packed, cash and cards in wallet, drinks packed, ready to go! I'll be posting to my individual section, the San Diego section, and this one with the SD Goodwill's 😁😁😁

I'm all packed and ready! Everything is set for tomorrow. I rent the car at 8am, I'll be home and done loading up by 930. Then shower, relax a few, and be on my way by 11am tomorrow!

I should pull into LA around 6-7pm. I'm going straight to Tommy's for a chilli tamale and a double burger 😋

Getting the post done early today so I can spend the evening getting anything last minute done!

Dinner tonight is tuna 😁 I made a big batch earlier to take tuna sandwiches for the drive, so I'm having the extra with some crackers 😋

I made it!! Officially on vacation 😁 they didn't let me go easy, though! We did $4200 on 93 donors. I got 10 totes and one black bin of shop stuff packed up before heading out as well!

Now, tomorrow I get everything ready and the last minute stuff done, then 8am Tuesday, I rent the car!

Today was BUSY. Don't know why, but everyone had to shop today. We did $4600 on 73 donors. Just non stop. I did get to sort through the last of the bins, so they're setup for when I'm not here next week. Now I just have to pack up all the shop stuff tomorrow!

There was one french turdball today. So I come out front to check the register, and find two 3/4 drank iced coffees. Just left on the counter. So I, LOUDLY, ask who's they are? Nobody answers. Now, mind this part, because a woman in a white shirt with blue stitched birds looks RIGHT in my eye when I yell this, and doesn't say a word along with everyone else. So, no owner, I tossed them out.

Fast forward about 15 minutes. I hear a commotion up front. Little frenchman causing a scene over his missing coffee. So I stop his tantrum, show him the "No Food or Drinks" sign PAINTED on the door and window, and explain that when nobody claimed them, they got dumped.

Who's right there bitching with him? The woman in the white shirt with blue stitched birds 🙃 the ankle listened to me ask, looked right at me, and said nothing, of which I reminded her.

This made Napoleon half-a-mite even more unhappy. He demanded the store buy him new drinks 🤣😂 I literally busted out laughing, I couldn't contain it. Told him in no way was that happening, and he can just leave now.

He got so mad he started ranting in french 🤣😂

I told him I don't speak frog 🐸😁

He and his toad girlfriend eventually hopped away, and peace returned to the land. Don't know where pierre went, but he was no longer my problem.

Dinner tonight is boneless pork chops sauteed in lots of butter, garlic, and rosemary. With a pile of fully loaded mashed potatoes, with butter, chives, cheddar, bacon, and sour cream; and some mushrooms sauteed with butter, granulated garlic, granulated onion, and chives 😋

A week from right now, I'll be heading out from the hotel room in San Diego for dinner. Szechuan House on Mira Mesa Blvd. I'm so checked out from work already 🤣

We had a pretty busy day. $3800 on 90 donors. And I had a call out, so we were under staffed on top of it. Had only one asshole today who tried to price swap something that I literally had just priced myself not 10 minutes prior 😂🤣 these people don't realize only me and my English coworker are the ones pricing things in our store. There's no way to pull off a swap. I know what everything is supposed to cost 😂🤣

Dinner tonight is birria tacos 😋

Good to be back at my own store. Had a mountain of crap to sort through in my absence, but I got it all finished. $3300 on only 69 donors today. And while it was a pretty light donor day in numbers, each of them had a god damn car load! We are overloaded already.

5 days to go. 4 work days then Monday. Then, I'll be on my way to LA and San Diego 😁
