Today's goodwill haul

I was thrilled to finally re-complete my Smallville series with seasons 8-10, and steel book of the newer Total Recall, and now I have all of Dragon Heart series. Half off so it was a gladly $13.50 spent.

We were SUPER slow today ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ one of our slowest in a long time. Only $1800 in sales and only 11, ELEVEN, donors!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

Still managed to have an old man get over the top angry that I wouldn't take $16 for a brand new leaf blower I only had $25 on to begin with ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

I ended up getting everything done ahead of time, so literally when 5:58 hit, I locked the doors, counted out the register, and got us out at 6:09. It's now 7:42 as I'm typing this, and I have burgers and hotdogs on the grill ๐Ÿ˜

Happy 4th, everybody! Even though our REAL friends Independence Day will be coming on November 5th this year!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

PS: Grand Prize Box Drawing on Monday night!! Also, picture 20 tonight shows how bored we got ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ we found out how high we can get cardboard boxes to stack ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

Boy was I wrong about having a slow day. Another 114 donors today and $3500 in sales. Just non stop.

Only a couple douche bags today. First one was a drunk who tried to fight my door attendant because we wouldn't take his couch. Funny enough, he didn't want to fight anymore once I came out and got involved ๐Ÿ™‚

The other was a guy who got mad we didn't have any bags. Not only are we not given bags from corporate, our supply depends entirely on what people bring donations in. Not like I can even order any from anywhere ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

Other than those 2 door knobs, it was a pretty calm day. I'm hoping we're absolutely dead tomorrow. But I effectively get triple time for being there, so I'm all for 8.75 hours of it ๐Ÿ˜

Dinner tonight is BBQ'ed chicken legs with my pimento noodle salad ๐Ÿ˜

My $1 Goodwill find today. I didnโ€™t even know what they were but for a buck I grabbed them. They just looked interesting. Turns out they are Micale Michael Lee dolls from the 1950โ€™s.

Goodwill Find Today!

Just decided to get some cool air and look around. I found this! Vintage ceramic Mid-century/Atomic Age style lamp and it still works! Needs an appropriate shade! Might get it rewired but glad its useable.

Had a much slower day. 108 donors, but only $2500 in sales. And the people are learning!! A woman started complaining to my cashier about our one mirror. My cashier asked her if she'd like to talk to the manager about it ๐Ÿ˜ and the woman said no, and just bought her stuff.

Gotta love when they learn a little bit ๐Ÿ˜

Can't say the same for the crackheads. Towards the end of the day, as I'm getting a couple gaylords of clothes ready to push back into the warehouse, a random tweaker appeared out of nowhere. He actually asks me if we ever "give out the clothes for free." ๐Ÿ™ƒ I VERY flatly told him no.

As cracky is slinking away, he mutters "you don't have to be a dick about it."

To which I respond: "I just told you no. Being a dick would be calling and having that hunk of shit (the bucket of shit car he was walking towards that had been parked in our lot since this morning) towed. Which will happen if you continue acting like an idiot."

He was smart/sober enough to know to keep his trap shut after that. September can't get here fast enough ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

Dinner tonight is some mixed fruit. I'm having some watermelon, pineapple, and mango ๐Ÿ˜

What in the Indiana Jones did I find today?

This is for sure modern right? I don't know anything about this stuff. Posting it here so I don't get laughed out of an anthropology group.

Holy. Fucking. Hell. We were so freaking busy today. 174 donors, 179 paying customers, $4400 in sales. Just absolutely non stop today.

I'm betting it's because Saturday is the 4th and people are clearing out before the BBQ. I'm expecting another busy day tomorrow now.

Only had one woman get close to getting kicked out today. She was just complaining about everything. The dressing rooms, the prices, not doing sales, she hit all the classics. Took it right up to the point I told my cashier if she bitched about one more thing, I'd kick her out. She didn't though, so no real headaches.

Dinner tonight is leftover pinwheels with a piece of pineapple upside down cake that a customer brought me today ๐Ÿ˜

Found this tonight at goodwill!

Need some help I can't believe I found this tonight at goodwill in the book section for only $2!!!!. Can anyone help me identify if Bruce really signed this book and how they missed it! The only reason I noticed the signature was due to me checking the overall condition. It was just put out today sticker said 7/1
