Stable

2 years un-medicated followed by inpatient hold and medicated for 9 months.
Sounds great - right?!
Except every year around this time he shifts and goes manic.
I do not know what causes the shift, but I’m bracing for it.
Should I be? He’s medicated!
Anyone have experience or know someone fully medicated going into psychosis still?
He gained 70 pounds in the 9 months he’s been medicated, so the dr wants to cut his dosing back.
I’m so worried that the time of year, combined with lowering the dose will set him off.

Posture

Everyone in our office has a normal desk with a space for their keyboard. I’m stuck with this corner style right now. I have to rest my arms and elbows on each side in order to type. I’m all scrunched up and I am concerned about long term affects.
We are planning to remodel so I’m thinking about asking to have a new desk put in that has the regular keyboard cutout.
Looking for opinions from everyone.
Am I looking at future issues if I continue to rest my elbow and arms?
Am I wrong for wanting this fixed?
The person who worked here before sat like this for 6 years. But also twice her age

Adult son going through puberty

My son is 27, going on 15 in every way. He has cerebral palsy and hypogonadism that went untreated until he was 20. He takes testosterone injections now. He has never dated or had any interest in girls probably due to his testosterone levels.
He works full time and is a great kid with a giant heart.
3 months ago he started to lock himself in his room and play video games.
He planned a trip out of state with his “friends” from this video game he plays.
Or so that’s what he told the family. I was scared and worried, but he’s 27… a grown adult! He left and was gone for 6 days. The night before he was to return home, I discovered through Facebook that he has a “girlfriend”.
He met this girl online playing video games and he LIED to his entire family and took a trip to meet her across the country.
this “girl” is 28 lives at home with her parents, has NO job, no license, no car and by the looks of her there’s something really wrong with her.
I confronted him over text and instead of being sorry for lying he asked if she could fly home with him and stay in my house for a few days so I can get to know her.
MY HEAD IS SPINNING at this point. Felt like I was having a heart attack.
Naturally that was a HELL NO.
Now that he is home, I find out he fucked her and is in love. He says he’s moving out and they are going to be together forever. Keep in mind, she lives across the fucking country with no life prospects.
Please keep in mind my son knows absolutely nothing about the real world. He’s truly naive.
WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO ME AS A MOM?
I think his testosterone levels are out of whack and he needs help, but he disagrees. Since he’s an adult, I can’t medically do anything about it.
He’s had his first taste of sex from some crazy chick across the country who plays video games for a living.
How do I talk to him without just kicking him to the curb and saying good luck.
This is not real life - but he seems to think nowadays this is normal.
I don’t post for advice on Reddit often, because I consider myself to be a private person. However this is so far past anything normal that I’m genuinely looking for real advice.
Thank you in advance if you have taken the time to read and respond.
