All my tomatoes went moldy while dehydrating on the tomato setting - how do I prevent this in future and do I need to do anything special to clean the dehydrator?

I just had a Repair Cafe declare my moisture meter unrepairable since the calibration has gone wonky.

My big plant failing is over/under watering so my moisture meter is my best friend but I have had a digital one where the wiring failed and an analog one where the calibration failed.

Any suggestions of a more sturdy option? 😅

I love that feature so much. Often i look at my normal task list and nothing appeals to me but I want to do SOMETHING useful. I really like a random useful or beneficial task or small list of them being presented for me to choose from.

E. G. today I was offered to pick 4 of the following

Yoga (assorted poses were offered but I cannot remember which ones)

Take a hike

Donate blood

Volunteer at a kitchen

Liven your living space

Watch a movie

Make the bed

I picked make the bed, watch a movie, living space and donate blood

I have done two made steps towards another and will do the remaining one later.

I really benefit from this style of sort of "would you kindly" (if you get the Bioshock reference) request for me to perform a task that i didnt have to think up but is still useful

I want more of this type of thing but not sure how to find it so thought id ask the reddit hivemind.

I don't have a garage so what is the best apple storage location? Would a shed do? How do you control the temp/humidity/etc for longest storage duration?

I have no garage but would like to work towards my worms not living in my house and getting some kitchen space back.

Is a shed a viable option? How to keep it warm/cool enough for them? Does shed material make a difference (plastic, metal, wood, etc)

Or is there some other wisdom the hivemind can offer me on outdoor storage?
