Visiting the US on B2 visa while I-130 is pending – anyone with experience?

I'm a US citizen, and my wife's I-130 Consular has been pending for 19 months. She already has a valid visitor visa that she obtained before we got married.

We're considering having her visit me in the US for 3–4 months and then return to her home country to continue the immigration process. She has no intention of overstaying or adjusting status during this visit.

Has anyone's spouse visited the US for a few months while their I-130 was pending? How was the experience at immigration? What questions did CBP ask? Did you face any issues because of the pending I-130?

Mandamus lawsuit – Over a month and still no summons

I130 Consular. March 2025

I filed a pro se mandamus lawsuit against USCIS in the District of Maryland in early September. My case was assigned to Judge, but it's been over a month and the summonses still haven't been issued.

I contacted the clerk's office, and they confirmed it's on the judge's docket awaiting review. Same response for over a month.

What do I do now? The sole place I thought would be my last hope isn't doing it's job.

Qatar Changed the Flight resulting in long Layover

I initially purchased a round-trip ticket from IAD to JNB. Today, I received a notification that my departure flight has been changed from December 30 at 10:50 a.m. to 10:05 p.m. and includes a different connecting flight. Now, my layover has changed from one hour to eight hours. Is this legal? I would never have purchased tickets with Qatar if I had known the layover was going to be eight hours in Doha. Is this normal?

I-130 at NBC or Nebraska Service Center?

Received this vague response based on a congressional inquiry.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matters. Your constituent’s I-130 Petition for Alien Relative is currently processing at the National Benefits Center (NBC). Processing time information can be found on our website on the USCIS Processing Time Information page. Once further action is taken, a notice will be sent to the address on file.
Though the I-130 is currently pending at the NBC, the decision to expedite a case that requires field office review is made by the field office of jurisdiction (Baltimore Field Office).
All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please note that a single letter from the applicant, without additional supporting documentation, does not generally meet the criteria for expedited processing. Please also note that standard cost of living expenses, such as bills, are generally incurred by all individuals, and do not solely demonstrate that the expedite criteria have been met.
Please visit the following link for case
status: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do
We hope the information provided is helpful. If we may be of assistance in the future, please let us know.

I'm not sure why it says NBC when the notice letter mentioned the Nebraska Service Center. I've confirmed it multiple times with Emma Chatbot.

Edit: I found out through Emma that it is at the Baltimore Field Office. I'm not sure why, though. USC applying for spouse consular processing.

W7 Approved, IRS Refund Still Delayed

I (USC) and my wife (South African Citizen) submitted her W7 and our tax return which was received on 1st April. ITIN issued May 29th. Received state tax return July 8th. Today I received a message from IRS and WMR shows

"We apologize, but your return processing has been delayed beyond the normal timeframe. You can continue to check back here for the most up to date information regarding your refund. We understand your tax refund is very important and we are working to process your return as quickly as possible."

What does this mean? Do I have to do anything?
