Is it true you can't even collect all Pokemon due to extremely limited storage space?

Went to make my normal collection of biome-themed sorting and it turns out I can't even have more than 15 boxes?

Pokemon Lazarus: Gotta catch a couple of 'em!, I guess? And this was so close to being a perfect game, too 😭

State your favorite hacks

I can't seem to find any good remakes that really do what I want. Does anyone know of any good hacks that:

- have new 'mons, moves, & gimmicks, and introduce them at a proper rate (as in, you don't start the game with the dexnav and have 39 Pokemon by route 2)

- have at least somewhat challenging Gyms & E4

- a moderately engaging story

- enough box space to complete a living dex

Can be a remake, or a new story, either way is cool.

I tried out Quetzal, but it doesn't change any of the text or story to account for the tons of new changes. "They are all out of Pokeballs", the shopper lied.

Lazarus seemed absolutely perfect in every way, I was having an absolute blast and then just before the 3rd gym, I learn the game hard-locks you to 15 boxes, preventing making a living dex. What, is even, the point, of Pokemon, if you can't even keep them all!?

Anyway, sorry if this came off sort of rant-y, I'm super bummed at giving up Lazarus and being unable to find a good hack.

Edit: please don't send this to "technically we'll allow it but we'll make sure nobody sees it" weekly question thread

I waited 15 years for this?

Incoming rant, I guess

I don't understand, I'm not having fun at all. Just frustration. Even the *story* mode is destroying me nonstop to the point of me just turning the game off to go do something else. I **never** turned TB3 or RB2 off. Sure, getting dunked by Arale of SSJ4 Gogeta at the end of 100 Battle was frustrating, but I never felt like I couldn't even play.

The story mode AI - the easiest and dumbest of fighting game AIs - are destroying me. There's no power fantasy to be had here. I don't feel like the Cosmic Destroy of the Universe when I play as Frieza or Zamasu, I feel like I'm the underdog trying to *stop* the tyrannical all-powerful overlords.

There is **blatant** favoritism with the characters - and I don't mean how Saiyan saga characters are weaker than GT saga, I mean, like, Fuses Zamasu *sucks*. Charges slow AF. Moves slow AF. Barely does any damage to Vegeta Blue with anything. Meanwhile apparently Before Blue has access to a 1 bar rush Super he can spam nonstop and a single combo of his does 1.5-2x a health bar.

I went through all the training, and the AI is still doing moves I have no idea how to even Google to perform. They can bat away Super Beams as if they were charged ki blasts, ala Raging Blast 2. When getting knocked back by a super, vanish, or charged attack, they can *instantly* recover and punch you before you can even leave the recovery frames and block.

Not that training even helped much - it took me no less than 20 minutes to pull off **one** Super Counter. BS control is whack - Up and Square? Really? That way if you whiff it you can lock yourself into an animation??? The game expects me to be doing these every 5-6 hits based on how the AI uses them?

Whatever. I'm too old. I wanted to play some DBZ and feel like a DBZ character and have fun like I was a kid again. Instead I get slapped in the face for not being an ultra-sweat who is willing to practice for hours and hours just to beat the easiest modes.
