[Rant] Mining is so ASS!

Rant incoming!

I didn't mine before the crafting update and only got interested into it becaues of crafting. The idea of getting some upgraded weapons for ships and FPS seemed pretty appealing.

But man... No idea if mining has been better pre crafting but it's a really awful and boring experience, even worse when you're solo.

Prospector can't mine shit even with a full power loadout and this basically means you will not not overheat a damn rock because of the window that's tinier than my wiener and trust me, that's not hard to beat.

Mining gadgets you don't seem to get half of the time, you fly around minutes just to find a rock that's remotely worth mining and then scan your ass off for the next 15 minutes because you have to scan every single piece of rock individually and it takes fucking forever.

You can't convince me that mining isn't supposed to be a punishment. The only thing it does effectively is wasting your time because of how much time you just spend flying aimlessly around or staring at a rock while your ship tries to figures out if that rock even is a rock.

Shoutout to relaxed gameplay loops, I'm all for it. I do enjoy the occassional hauling but mining is a joke, especially for the terrible returns you get there. I don't even want to imagine how many hours you spend trying to mine a decent amount of ores that's not just crappy 550-650 but actually like 850+ to kit out a few small to medium ships.

Like... Why can't we mine all rocks but make it less efficient? Why can't we use lower quality material to actually refine it and get better quality out of it? If I wanna waste 1 month mining crappy 200 quality rocks to get a few SCU's of 1000q rocks then just let me do that. That way I at least get something but the current mining is just awful and incredible hostile, especially towards solo players.

Rant over. I hate mining.

A little dark but do we know which parts are being used here?

Also a good example why I don't use LMG's.

Finally found one... And it's mildly infuriating

Maybe it's just me but this is really annoying and seems to happen on every Sniper. Seems to be fine on some AR's tho.

I guess I did it but it doesn't feel very deserved

Unfortunately I can't filter by ranked 'cause like 95% of those matches were casual matches.

I don't consider myself a good player at all. I do get the basics, I roughly know what I do and I'm semi-competent with combos.
But so far most of the matches felt like people were just much worse than you'd expect from their rank. I started in gold and until like Emerald 3 it was a cakewalk with little to no difference.

And even in diamond I feel like I'm running into the 'average fighting game noob stereotype'. Don't get me wrong, I for sure have these too but in most games I've played you'd consider this already high elo and with my set of skills I certainly don't feel like I'd belong in there.

Maybe just a "The game is new" syndrom. In the first season of Street Fighter 6 I also hit platinum and I'd take any bet that I don't belong in there. Haven't played SF6 much tho since then or since the release of 2XKO.
