I could use an old, crumbling yoga mat if you have been thinking about replacing yours.

I could use an old, crumbling yoga mat if you have been thinking about replacing yours.

ETA: shelters and cat rescues find them useful too, so even though I've been offered several, speak up if you have one you've been meaning to get rid of! I can donate them the next time I foster bottle babies.

Pieces of yoga mat are useful for a variety of things! I have one in the kitchen drawer to help me open jars, one under my keyboard to keep it from sliding, another over it when I’m not using it, and several rubber banded to my wrist rests.

I’m about to rebuild my bookcases that have just been lying in pieces since I moved. They are salvaged lumber on glass blocks, and mat pieces help protect the floor and even out the irregularities in the wood so the weight is distributed more evenly across the blocks.

Airport determined to cause a crash.

This little genius has bolted out the front door right into the street twice now. Going out I have to pick him up, step out, turn around, toss him down the hall, and close the door before he can run back.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with this bobbin?!

I’ve only used this Singer 5040 C once in the last decade, with the black I had left in it. I rethreaded today, and got my test scrap stuck half a dozen times before giving up. I looked up the manual to see if I was forgetting everything, but it doesn’t seem so.

The bottom section of one of the legs is stuck in that position. It wasn't very good at standing up on its own when it was new. But it's fine for holding up your laptop or tablet at a more comfortable angle to watch something in bed.

I think the E. coli ended up being the last thing Harpo brought me, but I have never had the heart to check.

Groucho and I both have appointments on the 22nd to figure out what’s going on with us and what to do about it.
