Ah yes, a sale.

Its almost a meme at this point. I spent the entire day to put my shopping cart together and order as soon as the sale starts.

New Launch Patterns

Hi everyone,

Selkie has changed their new launch patterns in the last couple of months and I was wondering what everyone is thinking about their recent and not so recent changes? I don´t have anyone else to chat about so I hope our little Reddit community will excuse a bit of critique.

Changes I noticed and my 2 cents:

- Getting rid of most sales (with the exception of their sample sales in California) and not being able to use codes as a repeating customers

This one I do understand to some degree and I know that Selkie doesnt particularly go out of their way for international customers. Nevertheless, its a bummer. On top of that, I encountered so many problems with their recent sale, ending in me having to cancel the entire order (stuff shown as in stock but its sold out and they dont notify you).

- Kim said, that there will be less frequent launches.

I was excited about that but this is confusing me a lot because it feels like they are launching A LOT. Way too much to be honest. I personally prefer bigger collections over those capsule launches every other week. (But that might be an unpopular opinion?) I know, overconsumption but: A new collection launches and I am falling completely in love with item x. I order it and the following week another one launches with something that catches my eye as well. But I already bought the other item so I would be stuck with double shipping a 40USD + higher import tax.

- Ready to buy becomes pre-order based

I have no problem with that and it does seem much more sustainable. But my god, they need to fix their shipping issues....Not only that but you can see their Selkie Affiliates wear the newstyles weeks in advance. I know that probably seems bitter but: Seeing them gifting their gowns left and right to instagram people while having to pay hundreds myself is making me sad XD

Again: No one is forcing me to order from them, those are just my thoughts as a long time and loyal customer

Did the writers air out some personal grudges?

There are jokes, and then there are the very persistent reoccuring jokes.
I get that hating/making fun of the Kardashians was fashionable at that time (even though I was surprised they continued after Kims cameo). BUT WHAT DID ANNE HATHAWAY DO?? Someone amongst the writers must have hated her guts, they made so many mean comments about her specifically 🥲
