Before I start I want to say that this is an extremely respectful post, I by no means want to offend anyone, this is a genuine question.

I keep seeing people saying that singing a Capella is really hard. How is it hard? I can understand going too fast or too slow rhythmically, but in terms of pitch accuracy how is it? Whenever I sing songs without music, I don’t have any problem with singing it the same as if there was music, I just play the melody in my mind and it works. I have sang songs when the music starts later than the vocals and I have done it no problem. Everyone around me, and my friends who sing, don’t seem to have any problem with that either. I am no virtuosa because I have been in singing lessons for not that long, so could anyone explain the reason for this?

Llevo desde pequeña queriendo ser farmacéutica. Mis padres son farmacéuticos y mi abuelo también, así que siempre he sentido fascinación por la profesión. La farmacia de mis padres no será para mí, porque mi hermana es farmacéutica y será para ella, pero mis padres dicen que me ayudarían a comprar una en unos años.
Estoy en segundo de bachillerato, a pocas semanas de selectividad. He acabado con un 9 de media, nota de sobra para entrar en farmacia si no me despisto.
El problema es que cada vez me gusta menos la biología, ha sido mi peor asignatura este año y he perdido todo el interés por ella. Farmacia tiene mucha biología y no sé si la aguantaré, y encima son 5 años.
Buscando alternativas he encontrado ingeniería biomédica. Tiene matemáticas ( que me gustan bastante, he sacado un 10), y química, programación y física. La física me preocupa un poco porque no se me da extremadamente bien, pero soy capaz de aprobar. Me asustan las salidas, porque no sé si son tantas ni tan buenas como las de farmacia.

Tengo vía libre para irme a estudiar a cualquier parte de España.

Alguien podría aconsejarme y decirme si ingeniería merece la pena? Y si farmacia tiene demasiada biología o está bien?

So I have been a musician my whole life. I sing, play the piano and the ukulele and some guitar. I can play covers but when it comes to writing songs my brain just goes blank. The closest I have been to it has been writing lyrics/ chords separately but I can never put them together. How do I do that? Does anyone have advice or know the order I should follow?

For a reference, the songwriters I look up to the most are Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell.
