After running Fortune Auto 500's with swift springs on my 2023 Core I wanted to try something a bit different. I've had 4 sets of FA's on various Subarus in the past and Annex seemed to be doing something a bit different, so hey, lets give it a shot!

Their whole perspective is that performance suspension doesn't have to be uncomfortable on the street. By relying on the damper to do its job and choosing a lower spring rate than many competitors opt for, you get a really balanced feel.

I installed these about a week before a two day event at Watkins Glen, hosted by Mass Tuning. Here is some feedback through the event:

  • Alignment was set to -3.5 camber front, -3 rear. Toe neutral front and rear.
  • Whiteline rear upper and lower control arms.
  • Damping is right in the middle. Car wanted curb so I let er eat.
  • Car felt really compliant with very good rotation.
  • The slightly lower spring rate made weight transfer feel more apparent but in a good way. I felt I had more usable movement of the car if that makes sense.
  • Bumps and curbs were a breeze, traction from the car getting upset was never lost.

The car felt really good compared to before. It doesn't feel as stiff and "race-car-ish" but the compliance you get in exchange seems worth it. I do plan to bring the ride height down about an inch more and am going to turn damping stiffer for VIR in May.

Anyone else running Annex? What are your thoughts?
