Saw this morning about the $15 sale going on so I placed an order at around 8:30am for a copy of Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core on Switch. The listing showed that there was limited stock so I placed my order thinking that it would cover me and I would be good to pick it up.

My store opened at 11 am and I get there around 11:30, right before I walk in a guy walks out with at least 9-10 switch games. I talk with the employee about picking up my order and it turns out that even though I placed an order before the store even opened, that guy had bought every copy of crisis core before I came and they did not have any stock left for me. Employee was apologetic and set up a refund for 7-10 days but I did walk away feeling upset. Is that company policy that there’s no guarantee that they’ll hold onto my copy for same day pickup and should I have gotten there earlier? Or did they mess up by selling my copy?
