The sales start today.

I don't have First Access, but I am an active subscriber.

Hopefully there will be signed stock left for the subscribers and general sale tomorrow. 🤞🏼If not, unsigned stock like with Exquisite Torment.

May the odds be in your favor! May L. K. Steven's' signing hand be strong. 💪🏽

I'm not a big enough fan of OUABH to buy the set, but I'm contemplating getting Turncloak if there are enough for active subscribers. I read Silvercloak earlier this year and loved it. I thought it was a duology and we'd get the conclusion this September, but alas, no. 😟

Don't forget to check your time zone converters, as these are at slightly different times on the various days!

Who's gearing up?

Edit to add:

Earthbound re-print

The ‘Earthbound’ Exclusive Edition will be available for £25 GBP / $34 USD + shipping and is expected to ship around TBC.

Please note: Shipping estimates for the Earthbound reprint are currently pending confirmation. Once we have an estimated shipping timeframe to share, it will be updated in the caption.

Fabric dust jacket frequency - appearance in full box

Hello, everybody. I got off the waitlist yesterday (my timezone) and have until 2pm BST today to decide whether to get the sub box, and if so, which kind for August's box.

I live in SEA so fx and shipping can be quite high, sometimes even more than a single book itself. (That's why sales make me cry! Sure the book is less than 20GBP but the shipping then seems so high!)

One item I quite like from past IC boxes is the fabric book jacket. Does anybody know the last time it was included in a box, and how frequently it repeats?

I used to get OC and FL YA full boxes during COVID, but one reason I quit were because there were too many not- that- useful items in there, and I needed space! I appreciate how useful IC book box items are.

Please forgive any typos. I'm typing this during my public transport commute to work and the tracks be bumpy.

Thanks in advance!

"Apotheosis" was NYT's 'Word of the Day' on Thursday, which reminded me of Magic Binds! Thank you, HA, for improving my vocab & teaching me many more things. What have you learned from their books?

I was browsing NYT and saw this _very_ familiar word. Of course, I had to search KD _Magic Binds_ to make sure my memory was correct. Reading Kate Daniels/House Andrews has improved my vocabulary and knowledge regarding world faiths and cultures, among other things.

I have people in my life, personal and work-related, who look down on me for reading mainly fiction and say I wouldn't learn anything from these "made up" stories.

I'd argue reading fiction lends their readers more empathy, exposure to multiple perspectives and organically lead to self-reflect. "Why did character A's action bother me so much? Why do I resist character B's forgiveness of them?" E.g. Curran's actions in KD book #6 and Hugh in book #7 & 9/10... (I've read his book!) Jennifer, too, in #7.

Fiction, done well, can demonstrate how three-dimensional people are while showing great character growth.

KD and other HA series have been great examples of how complex societies and layered motivations can be, on a personal and political scale. Jumping from KD to Innkeeper Chronicles, Caldenia's backstory in _Sweep of the Heart_ was heart-breaking and so well-done. Her >!baby brother needed her help and she did, and gave her freedom away. From the outside, her across look selfish but the true motive was deep love for her family, which so few people in Dina's world would learn. I try to be more understanding when high-ups make decisions I don't understand and they don't explain. Maybe there are levers on them that I'm not allowed to see.!< This book's political machinations remind me so much of _This Kingdom_ and I hope we'll see more political impact in the series as we go.

A part of me wishes I had started reading HA when they first published, so I could grow with their characters into adulthood, instead of joining the BDH during COVID, but it is what it is! I'm excited to see how Maggie 2 and their future stories will expand my mind. Or, heck, even rereading their stories a few years older and more experienced.

How have you grown from their books?

GA Dramatized Adaptation of Magic Tides delayed

Head's up for anybody not obsessively checking their email or various websites for HA updates!

GA's Dramatized Adaptation of Magic Tides has been delayed to September 28, 2026. I do not recall what the original release date was.

Happily, Sapphire Flames (GA DA) still seems to be set for August 3rd.
