Cleaning Up

Reyan has spent the last half-day cleaning his room from his earlier disorganization.

Suddenly, something moves behind him. Probably just a fly, but Reyan wheels around with Eldklyvare drawn. The sudden movement causes Eldklyvare to hit a shelf, knocking it over. A loud "CRASH!" rings through the hideout.

"Shit."

Reyan removes the scabbard from his belt and slips it over the blade, then places it on his bed. He sighs.

"At least it didn't start on fire."

Reyan kneels to pick the shelf up and put it back against the wall.

Disorganized

Reyan's room, usually neat and organized, is a mess. Things have fallen from the shelves and haven't been picked up, and some things are just gone. Reyan himself is not there.

Making Upgrades

*In a lull in the search for Louis, Reyan, the real one, is back at the hideout, in his room.*

"Nope, this one burns."

"This one too."

"And this one."

"Oh?"

*When Reyan next exits his room, he has a new outfit.*

Apparently my truck isn't thirsty

So, I was closing the gas cap on my '79 High Sierra, and now it won't come off when I turn it. Worked perfectly fine before. Any ideas? (It's the type you can lock with a key, btw. Isn't locked, and the truck didn't come with the key.)

A name, at last.

*Reyan has been studying Rhea's dagger for the past couple weeks, with what little free time he's gotten. He's finally figured out what the strange Shiekah symbol engraved into the base of the blade translates to.*

"Benevolence."

Need help with the VATS on my truck

For context, I recently got a 1979 GMC High Sierra from an auction.

The problem is that the owner didn't leave any keys, and said owner is no longer with us. Anyone related to them is also out of contact, so I tried to hotwire the truck, only to find out that a Vehicle Anti Theft System (VATS) is present, and no search engine has been of any help.

Just Relaxing.

*Reyan has finally decided to take a bit of a break, after fighting The Gleeful Executioner, Jimothy and Jimbob, Dusty, Battæ, and so many others.*

"Rr, rr, rr."

*Kameko purrs, head resting on Reyan's shoulder.*

An Update on all of Reyan's new abilities and weapons

Reyan has picked up a considerable amount of new abilities since I last made one of these, so I figured I'd update you all.

WEAPONS

  1. Eldklyvare: Eldklyvare is Reyan's original weapon, as I'm sure most of you know, but it has also picked up some new abilities. In the shrine where the Paradox Sword was found, the one with the elemental infuser, Eldklyvare was imbued with the power of earth. That gave it the ability for Reyan to open large, magma-filled cracks in the ground by stabbing Eldklyvare into said ground.

It can also absorb any heat meant to harm Reyan or any *ally* physically close enough to him, including fire fruits, bomb flowers, even the scorching air of the Eldin Canyon Depths. It will not protect enemies, and will instead redirect the heat towards them if Reyan wills it to do so. Otherwise, it just absorbs it and stores the power of the heat to empower its attacks.

  1. The Lightning Kunai: The Lightning Kunai haven't gotten any new uses, really, just figured I'd add them in here for newer people. The build up an electric charge over time, and when thrown, Reyan can activate them to cause a lightning strike on the location of the Kunai. All three can be activated at once, and if thrown in a triangle shape, they create a kind of electric containment field.

  2. Rhea's dagger: In the second installment of Reyan's backstory before joining the Yiga Clan, Him and his friend, Rhea found this dagger. Rhea kept it, but was later killed by it in the hand of the Gleeful Executioner(A.K.A. the Lynel that killed Rhea.)

The main idea of this dagger is that it serves as defense while Eldklyvare now serves as attack, should Reyan choose to dual-wield them. And yes, this was done historically, with the dominant hand weapon being used for attack, and the off-hand weapon being used for defense.

  1. The Executioner's Bow: The Executioner's Bow is a one-of-one bow previously used by The Gleeful Executioner. The bow is made from a mix of Savage Lynel Steel and a mysterious black metal called Shiftsmelt. Shiftsmelt has the unique ability to change its form, which allows weapons built with it to switch between a few different '"modes."

The Executioner's Bow has three modes. The first mode fires off only a single arrow at a time, but has VERY high power and therefore very high range while maintaining near perfectly straight flight. And we're talking about, like, several dozen meters kind of very high range. A downside of the high power, however, is the longer-than-average drawback time. So, the first mode is best for long-range support or assassination roles.

The second mode fires off three arrows, like a standard Lynel bow, at medium range, around the range of a regular Lynel bow. What it does have over the standard Lynel bow is a somewhat faster drawback time.

The third and final mode fires off five arrows, but heavily reduced range to a standard bow. However, it makes up for that short range by having virtually no drawback time at all, making it great for turning an enemy into a pincushion at point-blank range. It's also great for confusing and panicking a large group of enemies from above, by firing, say, several volleys of bomb arrows one after the other into the group.

  1. The Glacial Arrows: The arrowheads on these arrows are made with ice from the core of a glacier, hence the name. They affect a much wider area than regular ice arrows, allowing for the potential to freeze around a half-dozen enemies on regular ground with a single arrow. They're completely resistant to fire, meaning that they still work to basically their full effect in the super hot areas of the Eldin Region. (They also kind of have to be fire-proof, or else they would just melt in Reyan's quiver because of Eldklyvare's heat.)

  2. The Knuckles of Torment: The Knuckles of Torment are basically just spiky brass knuckles, except they don't have a hint of brass in them and they're a lot more deadly. The Knuckles are made from the same combination as the Executioner's Bow, but in the case of the Knuckles, they have two modes they can switch between. The first mode is purely offensive, with the spikes being rather large and quite sharp. The second mode is meant more for defense, reducing the size and sharpness of the spikes, and reforming that material into basically bucklers around the hands. Bucklers are a type of smaller shield, don't question me. In this form the knuckles get heavier around the hands, turning them from slash-and-stab weapons into more blunt smash-and-bash weapons, with the spikes allowing for a potentially bone-breaking punch. Extremely up close and personal melee weapons like this aren't exactly Reyan's style, though, so I won't keep these ones.

ABILITIES

  1. Armeg's cloning technique: Armeg taught Reyan his cloning technique, so Reyan could now, say, have several of him attack one target for a short time, or he could send some of his clones to other places so he can effectively be in several places at once for a short time.

  2. The All-Seeing Eye technique: This one allows Reyan to see through thick clouds of smoke, such as smoke left behind by large explosions and the smoke from a Puffshroom.

  3. Not sure what to call this one lol: Some of you may have noticed that whenever Reyan teleports, he appears and disappears in a small explosion/burst of flame. This is literally just a by-product of Reyan getting more powerful over time. Not really even sure if this could be called a technique, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And, just a side-note, Reyan is not a god-level being or anything. He still has his weaknesses. He is fast, he is strong, but he's vulnerable to emotion. He isn't invulnerable to everything, and some things can even directly counter him. And he won't keep all of the weapons he has either.

Okay, I'm fed up with this Drift Zone

So, the "Skidding Downhill" drift zone is driving me bugshit crazy. I have tried several different drift parts, and I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Something's going on with my Doubledealer mag, any ideas what it might be?

So, for context, I don't actually have a Doubledealer. The mag came with a used Stryfe I got a while back, because apparently the guy who sold it to me lost it. Not complaining about the extra capacity, btw.

Anyways, the Stryfe has been more or less of a shelf piece for the last bit, but now that I'm starting to use it a bit more, I'm noticing that the trigger will randomly lock up after the first dart is fired. Could it be the dart sensor?

A new friend

*Reyan is in the Faron Sea of Trees, enjoying a rare moment of solitude. Suddenly, a Lynel's roar rings out through the forest, swiftly followed up by... A scream. Reyan is gone in an instant, leaving a shower of embers where he had been.*

*He reappears at the source of the scream, and sees... Not a person screaming, but a cougar.(or puma, or mountain lion. Take your pick of their 40 English names.)*

(Yes, they make a screaming noise rather than a roar. Look it up. They're also the only big cats capable of purring!)

*The big cat is backed up against a tree, cornered by a Lynel.

Reyan lets out a whistle, which catches the attention of both the cougar its assailant. The cat takes the opportunity to scramble up the tree, and out of the Lynel's melee range, whilst Reyan enters it.*

"HrrrrAAAAARGGG!!!!!"

*The Lynel releases an extremely loud roar, clearly pissed at losing its prey.*

"I'll give you something to shout about,"

*Reyan unsheathes Eldklyvare with one hand, and takes his Lightning Kunai from their pouch with the other.*

(Btw this isn't the same Lynel that killed Rhea. This is just a normal Silver Lynel.)

*The Lynel, armed with a Savage Lynel Crusher, charges Reyan with its weapon raised. Reyan easily dodges and retaliates, slashing Eldklyvare across the beast's face.*

"Shout about that."

*The Lynel jumps back and draws its bow, shock arrows already nocked. As it fires, Reyan intercepts each with a Kunai, absorbing the electricity and supercharging the Kunai. He then calls them back, throws them at the Lynel, and activates them. Three especially powerful bolts of lightning strike the Lynel, nearly vaporizing it in the process. Realizing its disadvantage, the beast turns to retreat.*

"Oh, you're not going *anywhere.*"

*Reyan vaults off of a nearby tree, and comes down hard, jamming Eldklyvare into the ground. A magma-filled crack opens up in the ground, quickly enveloping the Lynel. Reyan pulls Eldklyvare from the ground, and the crevice closes.*

"Piece of shit."

*Reyan sheathes Eldklyvare, then turns at the sound of a weird chirping noise. It came from the tree with the puma in it.*

"Hello?"

"Eep!"

*The puma jumps down from the tree, and slowly walks up to Reyan. It shows no intention of hostility. When it reaches Reyan, it brushes along his leg, causing him to flinch. He clearly wasn't expecting it.*

"You want to come with me?"

"Eep!"

//Back at the Hideout//

*Reyan enters the hideout, his new feline friend trailing closely behind.*
