I was sick of the blurry versions I've been using, so I offer these additional Rumi reactions to the community.
Use them wisely.
I got sidetracked from the Jedi okay?
Since it'll take me a solid 5-8 days to do the finished piece, I figured I would post a conceptual sneak peek of what the girls will probably end up looking like, roughly.
Keep in mind; these are extremely simplified flat colour renders just for reference. I hand drew their outfits over a template to speed up the process, but I'll be giving them action poses, shading, highlights, and you know... faces, for the final piece.
A bit of my thought process:
- Rumi is a Zabrak (Like Darth Maul). I used the yellow armour padding to represent her jacket. Overall, her outfit is the most traditionally Jedi, since she's the most work-minded of the group.
- Zoey is a Mirialan. I used inspiration from both Rey and Ahsoka for her outfit, keeping things loose and lightweight to make the best use of her Force acrobatics in tandem with whipping around the Lightdaggers. Note: Yes she looks thicc, but that was intended to be her poofy pants.
- Mira is a Cathar. She already has some subtle feline features like the pointed ears and narrow eyes, so I leaned into that. Also, to match her personality, I took inspiration from Anakin Skywalker's wardrobe, since like him, Mira wears whatever she wants and hates to conform to standards. So her Jedi outfit is the least traditional and also the darkest.

A quick little project I did for fun. Cut out the head and shoulders portrait from the magazine photo and added her patterns to it, then erased her hair and redrew it by hand in the different styles.
I might do more later, but I'm going to focus on my Jedi HUNTR/X piece first.

Thought I'd pose this question, as I have a lot of ideas in mind, but can only dedicate brain power to one at a time.
Which of these Fan Fictions should I do/would you choose next?
- Mass Effect: Post-canon storyline following the events directly after Mass Effect 3, chronicling the fallout of the Destroy Ending. Femshep x Liara (They're also the main protagonists), EDI is recovered from backups, Balak returns as the primary antagonist alongside Maya Brooks from the Citadel DLC, 100% Galactic readiness so everyone who can survive does, etc.
- My Hero Academia: Self-insert OC with a cool, balanced Quirk, AU canon-adjacent retelling where my protagonist is a foreign exchange student who joins Class 1-A. UA High is UA University here, so the characters are all 19-22 years old. OC x Mina. Izuku x Ochaco pre-established.
- Kpop Demon Hunters: Sequel to my previous fanfic, takes place 200 years in the future, set in a cyberpunk Seoul. A half-demon descendant of Rumi breaks through the sealed Honmoon and attempts to become the new queen of the Demon World, and she is opposed by a descendant of Zoey. Mira was stuck in a timeless void, so she returns when the Honmoon is breached. OC x Mira.

Also have the limited edition Graphic-Novelization pre-ordered, the Artbook pre-ordered, the Blu-Ray pre-ordered, (all on Amazon) and a cool new 3D puzzle ball that hasn't arrived yet.
The NERF stuff is supposedly out, since the 15th of July, but they don't exist anywhere to buy, just like the Lucky Charms cereal. SO F*CK ME I GUESS? (NERF stuff is on random websites for pre-order in September, but the shipping almost triples the price for me...)
Hopefully I can get the girls' solo action figures this month.
Pez dispensers are coming in October.
