I’m so bummed I missed Robert Hood at work. How was it?

How long was his set? Was it 2:00 - 4:00? Any cool stories?

Do you know any guys named Matthew in Israel?

I was thinking about baby boy names and I want to give my son a Hebrew name that sounds similar in the Hebrew and English pronunciation, for example Solomon and Shlomo sound very different but Aaron Aharon sound similar. I live in America but have family in Israel so I’ve visited many times.

I like the boy name Matthew in English but I just realized I don’t think I’ve ever met any Israelis named Matthew or Matityahu, and Matityahu in Hebrew sounds a bit too strong, many more syllables and very biblical sounding.

I’m curious why there isn’t more Matthew’s / Matityahu in Israel? Could this be why?

At the same time Mordechai is also very biblical sounding but many Israelis have this name and use Moti for short? Is there an Israeli / Hebrew nickname for Matthew/Matityahu? I dint think I’ve ever met a “Matty” in Israel either.
