Series that started out good but got indefinitely worse

Sometimes tv series/anime/manga etc. start out pretty strong with much more story to tell. But for some reason, the quality drops so hard that they just vanish from pop culture, with many of the later seasons not being mentioned ever again. Spoilers ahead of course.

Edit: Title should say "infinitely worse"

  1. Komi can't communicate

Over the course of several hundred chapters readers learned to love the quirky characters of this manga (except for one...) and the slow but sweet progression of Komis and Tadanos relationship. But nearing the end of the manga, the author has the brilliant idea to reintroduce Tadanos first love Rami Kawai, who becomes a fan hated staple and third wheel to the relationship for the rest of the manga, even living together with Komi in the end.

  1. The promised Neverland

While the manga had its own problems, it was a tight story with interesting characters that grew and developed over time and an incredibly thrilling atmosphere. The anime however, after a strong first season, decided to skip most of the manga and basically go directly to the final arc with an alternative ending. The probably most beloved arc, Goldy Pond, was completely skipped while being the perfect showcase of what made this manga great.

  1. Heroes

While Heroes does not have such a sudden drop in quality as the first two examples, it still wasted so much potential. After season one everything went slowly, but steadily downhill. Somehow, seemingly dead characters are alive again. Powercreep happens a lot just for the solution to be amnesia or mysterious illnesses. The cast also grew bigger and bigger with the story becoming thinner and thinner at the same time.

Help me find this wuxia manhua

Hi guys,

I am desperately looking for a wuxia mahua I read a few years (6+, before the rise of Solo Leveling etc) ago but can't remember the title.

Here are a few plot points I remember, but it could be that I mixed them up with other, similar manhua:

 - it starts with the MC as a fully fledged martial master getting killed after being framed

 - he reincarnates into the body of a weaker disciple of some sect. We see a meteor falling and some very strong martial master saying that it is a sign of disaster if I recall correct

 - his sword/ki technique is called something with "star" I believe. It seems to be a lost art once he gets his new body, because people don't recognize it or straight up make fun of it

- his new teachers are a very strong lady and later on a mysterious masked guy (probably takes his mask of at some point though)

 - during some sort of trial he befriends another disciple, who he meets later on when his sect holds some sort of tournament

 - later on, he builds his own faction, whci hof course brings its own problems

So yeah, this ain't much and is pretty generic stuff (also, as I said, maybe some points don't belong there, sorry), but I remember it being a pretty good story overall.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me find this manwha!
