This whole polygamy and patriarchy we see in jonasi and in real life comes from the hypergamy women and young girls chase always going for the high status , high class , most money men they see and then putting so much into those men who will always be with other women and not be loyal because they feel like they worked hard to be in that position and it gives them a false entitlement over all women and the women themselves enable that by constantly choosing and staying with these men because of how high they placed them , think of lindani who could’ve been with menzi , matipa with magesh as an example of bad choices due to their hypergamous choices

Why is there such a difference between Somali back home and those in the west in terms of marriage and relationships? Like back home both genders are in relationships like it’s nothing marriage is as easy as getting bread from the shop , women fighting over men on social media and in real life , men having issues with exs and “mothers of their kids” , whilst compared to somalis in the west its crickets 🤣 not a peep people will be lucky to meet one person for a genuine relationship or marriage
