What's the dating scene for men in their 30s?

Apparently it gets easier as you get older for men, you're probably wiser, have sound decision making and if you're lucky, a good income and the potential to increase it and a a good physique if you were physically active.

Assuming one attains that, what's the market like? Who are you attracting and what's the preferred age difference? Are you going for your agemates in their 30s or ladies in their mid to late 20s? Where are you looking for finding them?

The reason I'm asking this is because one day I'll actively want to look for a companion and that one day is probably in my 30s, right now I'm just interested in other things

Diabolical emotional pain

The most excruciating emotional pain I've suffered in my short existence, obviously from a girl in a romantic context, is humiliation mixed with heartbreak and seasonsed with disrespect. Man I look back and think why my IQ was the size of my shoe when I fell in love. The crazy part is the emotional investment I used, the rationalisation of her questionable decisions, and giving second chances, I'd rather give Ruto another term than experience nights I shed tears before sleeping.

Aga Khan Walk has so become filthy

How low have we fallen as Nairobi? On my way to the office after passing the super metro buses, it's just trash everywhere. On the pavement, I managed to dodge human waste at the last moment, as I thought about how lucky I was to have my shoes not smelling like shit, I gaze to the right at the small garden, low and behold some lady pulls up her pants after dropping massive excrement, I was shocked.

When did we normalise being filthy? We can complain about bad leadership but if you the one throwing trash everywhere, are you any better?

Encouraging young boys

I have a younger brother joining high school and he's very lucky to have two older brothers and a responsible fathers. I was playing football with him over the weekend when travelled home and was talking to him about the changes he'll experience and what it means to be responsible, I ask him about his hobbies and participate with him.

I take it very seriously that he should have an identity and know what it means to be a man in these times of subtly encouraged online misandry, online gender wars and confusion to name a few, and this it's important because these gen alpha kids are growing up in a world where being tech savvy is key and sooner or later they stumble on the extremes of social media, and kids being sponges and teachable is a recipe for disaster.

Would you say tutam if these project were 100% guaranteed?

Put your personal feelings aside and hear me out.

If the Dangote oil refinery, Siaya nuclear power plant, Nairobi metro train network (or BRT), Nairobi - Mombasa Expressway, SGR to Malaba, road networks all the way to Mandera were 100% going to happen is a very tempting proposition.

As much as I don't like the Ruto regime he has good ideas like the infrastructure fund, the only problem is the execution and the corruption. For example, SHA and housing levy are very progressive ideas, but how the tenants at Boma yangu complain about the maintenance is concerning and SHA still has many loopholes to be sealed.

I think these projects would take Kenya to the next level and deal with unemployment to a certain extent and reduce the cost of living

Contract ya kuendesha gari kubwa

I've never really had sexual encounter with a bbw lady until 2 weeks ago (she's a former co-worker). She enjoyed it and now she request regular servicing, I was reluctant but eventually I agreed.

Now the thing is she has a bigger body that even though I have a muscular lean build ( hence why I was reluctant), so I've done small dive into compatible positions. Now I'm treating this like an experiment on what I'm capable of. If I can drive heavy machinery with then a regular saloon car should be child's play. If y'all have any tips btw feel free to share them.

First of all pause and no homo, some of y'all have massive tools based on the nudes. Like are these things actually real like holy shit, I thought they only exist in porn films. Anyways let me focus on stacking my Kenyatta shillings because there's no way I'm competing with a tool with the girth of a banana from Uganda 😂😂😂

Question to the ladies

During bedroom fun with a man, the sex is good, the performance is good, he makes sure you climax, but he doesn't cum. Does that bother you? How does it make you feel?

Relationships with parents

I'm lucky to grow in a two parent household with responsible and caring parents who did everything they could to provide for me and my siblings and I will be always be grateful for that.

The thing is that I don't know what kind of relationship I have with my parents. Right now I'm in Nai and my parents are in another county. Apart from the family calls we have on weekends we don't talk much, most of the time its my dad reaching out to check how I'm doing, how's work, did I go to church and that's about it. My mom on the other hand we barely talk unless she calls.

On my end if I have nothing to tell them I don't feel a need to call them. We really don't have a buddy buddy relationship where I can feel free to tell them personal issues (for example when I'm feeling blue or something else) , I prefer to telling my friends or my brother or just keep it to myself. I'm I sad about, nope, I'm thinking as long as we're healthy its all good.

So I was just thinking, what kind of relationship will I have with them moving forward? What about you? What kind of relationship do you have with your parents?

Edit: in my younger years my parents were disciplinarians first before friends. So kiboko was the order of day. For example, my dad's work would take him all over the country so he would be away during the weekdays but around on weekends. With this trend both noted that I would be free and more open when he wasn't around, one time (probably duringy adolescent years) they sat me down and asked me, 'why don't seem happy when dad is around' (or closed off, I don't remember the exact words). The moment I heard that question I thought this is a trap ya kiboko, and I didn't answer the question. I think that's probably why I'm not open to sharing personal things with them.

Breaking the cardinal rule of chewing co-workers

So I decided to fuck around and find out.

There's this co-worker, not my type but she looks decent. She has a bf and we're around the same age. So after a night out I got a text from her, she's in the area visiting a friend and she requested to visit briefly, I'm like sure why not. I invited her in, I had some drinks and some food. Kidogo kidogo we're very tipsy and she reveals she has been eyeing me for a while. It's been a while since I had felt a woman's touch, so I decided to think with my small head.

I gave my all on the sessions which were very enjoyable. She appreciated the effort and mentioned how weak the BFs game is. I think I dickmatised her because she's still texting me today reminiscing about Friday and how we should have a next time.

Please think twice about chewing coworkers, shit can get weird.

Mentioning your body count on a public platform

I've just remembered that time Kamene Goro was asked about her body count during some interview with Kibe, back then when they used to be close, then she mentioned 28. Ehh bana I tried visualising that number, hio ni matatu mbili ehh. Years later some interviewer brought it up during a public event when interviewing her and the husband, I wonder what the husband felt at that moment, anyways wacha nifike home nivute bangi.

Simple pleasures I miss because I got braces

I got braces for the second time in 11 years of my days I hate it, here are some of the things I miss.

  1. Eating without the gymnastics. When I eat have to make sure the food is in small chewable pieces. In addition when in chewing, I use one side of my mouth most of the time. There's food I can't eat as well.

  2. Moist lips. Ehh these grills are drying up my lips so quickly, I have to use lip balm like 10 times a day.

  3. No snacks. I can't really snack freely, because I have to brush my teeth after every meal. Bro, I was at the office washroom brushing at 3pm and people looking at me strangely 😂😂 , but fuck em, my dental health comes first.

  4. Tension free mouth. The wires have my teeth under tension 24/7. It's also scratched the side of my mouth and calloused it.

  5. Having normal convos. There are some words I can't say the same like I used to, like singing along to whisper my name by Drake, I can't say whisper the same way.

I guess it will be all worthwhile when my smile is better. 😁

So men are supposed to be protectors?

A lady on this sub brought up an issue about being groped in public, which we can all agree is bad manners. The replies and engagement in the comments moved to the premise that men should step in when they see a woman being harassed or assaulted.

I agree with premise, but on condition that I know the person who is being harassed or assaulted. The original poster was of the opinion that regardless of the relationship, a man should step up. I don't know if women understand that when two or more men have a hostile confrontation, there's always a possibility of violence, a knife or any other weapon can be pulled out, heck the guy can call his buddies and all over sudden you're outnumbered.

In conclusion, choose your battles wisely and don't expect a knight in shining armour to save the day. I'm not getting sucker punched or stabbed for situation and person I don't know.

During a season of sacrifice, what do you tell yourself?

During that season when you decided to put your head down, saving resources, dedicated to working towards a certain goal, what did you tell yourself during the tough times. Normally you really don't know how long that season will last, so how do you or what keeps you going? 1

Mambo ya dunia

2 years ago I was madly in love with a girl who chose to play me a second time, this time she went for a 40 yr old mbabaz. (We were both 23 at the time). I recovered from it emotionally (sometimes I shed tears when I was alone) , but psychologically, I don't know if I healed because this was my first heartbreak, so I don't know what healing feels like. Recently, when I think about what transpired I feel hurt, angry and I don't know if I'm able to do this romance thing.

Btw, we started of as friends for 3 years and we became very close, I was so fond of her. Anyways I learnt the importance of boundaries and options before things get serious. Right now I'm just stacking my paper try be better.

Question to the ladies

I know everyone has their type, one man's meat is another man's poison and all that.

Suppose person A is your type, but you choose person B. Why? What would person B have for you to choose him over A. (This question applies both to flings and long term commitments)
