Ap5-P

Hello,

Purchasing an ap5-p soon with the intention of running it suppressed. Supressor is a rugged sub 9.

Anything I need to do to the AP5 to get it running efficiently with this Supressor//anything I should replace on it in general?

I’ve heard people change the extractor springs on these AP5s with the HK copper one.

Hello, I recently got a rugged sub 9. Today was my first time shooting it, can do really well I was just having really weird POI shift…let me explain best I can with some context.

This is my second can, my first can is a sandman X with Plan B mounting. On my ARs I have virtually no POI shift, at least not that I can see. I shoot quite often and have never had an issue with this Supressor. Typically it’s shot on a 11.5 556 and a 10.5 .300 Blk.

The rugged sub 9 uses a tri lug mount with internal threads instead of spring tension, really rock solid and there is no wobble. The host weapon is a 9mm AK with a tri lug muzzle device. When I first mounted the suppressor and began shooting I noticed that my AK was shooting WAY high. Like a foot or so high. I removed the Supressor and confirmed zero. Without the can it shot normal. I put the Supressor back on, it shot normal. I checked the baffles and end cap. No strikes. Removed the suppressor a couple times and reinstalled it, shot normal. Removed it and installed it one more time just to see what would happen, and I was shooting way high once again. Once again no strikes. This weird POI shift happened with all ammo. 115 PMC 147 Federal, and 115 Magtech?

Is this happening because the Supressor is improperly installed? Is there a way to diagnose this?

Should also note that that I was consistently shooting high when the symptom was present, I was able to rule out shooter error by bench shooting, and having another person shoot.
