If Greeks wanna see what their ancestors looked like, they should look at the Alexander Mosaic from Pompeii, not Irish people lol.

I started to feel a spiritual connection with the United States

As a legal immigrant who is now a citizen, I don’t really know how to explain this feeling, but I love the lifestyle and the nature of this country. From the redwood forests to the deserts, from the Mississippi River to the Blue Ridge Mountains, I love everything about this country.

And it’s not only about nature. Although I don’t believe in God, I feel as if there is one not a personal God, but rather a concept: a God of liberty and freedom. A God that favors property, autonomy, and individual rights.

I feel as if we have been chosen to take this world forward. God bless America. Love you all.

Maybe we have misjudged them

I don’t think they are so bad. In fact they are the only democracy in the MENA. I believe we can get along.

Should I change my name?

Lately I’ve been feeling extremely American. I legally immigrated at 16, and I’m 27 now. I want to fully integrate into this society. I want my great-great-grandchildren to be proud one day and say, our ancestor came to this country and adapted. After all, the Roosevelt family name was originally van Rosenvelt. I’m also considering changing my name. What do you think?

Why does the European Union grant visa-free access to holders of Turkey’s Green Passport?

A privilege that is based primarily on employment status within the Turkish public sector and, in many cases, extends to their children.

I am concerned that this arrangement creates status-based advantages rather than opportunities based on merit. Many young people in Turkey face significant visa barriers when seeking educational, cultural, or professional opportunities abroad, while others benefit from easier access due to their family’s position in the public sector. I am also concerned that allegations of nepotism within public institutions may allow such privileges to become concentrated within particular social networks.

Has the European Union assessed whether this system is consistent with the principles of equal opportunity and fairness?

Bu ne saçma bir bayram

Sokak ortasında bağırarak hayvan boğazlarlar, her taraf kan, sidik, bok kokar; berberin içine boğa girer. Yemin ediyorum tam bir Orta Doğulu bayramı.

Why is state capitalism often criticized?

Please note that I do not know much about economics. When I look at countries like Singapore and China, I see very rapid development within a relatively short period of time. For example, institutions such as JTC Corporation in Singapore seem to have played a major role in clearing land, creating industrial estates, and accelerating industrialization.

Because of this, state capitalism appears very effective at first glance. Yet many economists and political thinkers still criticize it or prefer other systems. What are some of the main problems or long-term risks associated with state capitalism?

I am especially interested in understanding issues such as innovation, political power, corruption, inequality, personal freedoms, and economic sustainability.
