Hello Mouthwashing community, has anyone else ordered the Lost in Cult book in 2025? I haven’t heard much news on when it’s gonna ship or if there was a delay or something or if books just take a while to print and ship out, and I was wondering if anyone had any info about the book. Thank you!
I’m sure a lot of people here can relate to this sentiment, this isn’t an original experience, but I suppose this doesn’t apply to asexuals and aromantic individuals that date or have sex etc. For the record, I’m not hating on anyone IN a relationship, this is just something that personally annoys me with my family/friends.
I’m just tired man, every family get together is the same every time. “Are you dating yet, are you married, when are you having kids, I have someone I can introduce you to.” Like I get it, they mean well and just want me to find that someone because they assume by default I’m lonely and miserable because I don’t have someone, but god damn. I just respond with “I’m waiting for marriage”, since that’s an easier explanation than “Oh I’m aroace and physically cannot fathom the idea of sex and romance doesn’t click to me.”
And someone once tried to tell me “how do you know you don’t like sex if you’ve never tried it” okay? How do you know you’re not gay if you’ve never been with someone of the same gender? “I just know I won’t”

Sometimes I just with I had more ace friends irl cause there’s just so much relationship fatigue, and I’m surrounded by people that either pester me about getting into one or make their relationship their whole personality. Like what happened to hobbies? Being career focused, having goals that don’t align with a partner??? Platonic relationships!!!
I just needed to rant cause a specific comment at a family function set me off. Like I got treated as the bad guy for rejecting everyone who’s attempted to hook me up with someone they know. Someone literally asked me while I was eating a taco, “are you into short guys? I have a friend you might like” And I said “I’m really into this taco” I’m awkward, but at least people laughed as I brushed it off.
