We’ve had problems with German cock roaches before but this looks more like a beetle. Any help is appreciated.

Last time I went to my old vet he seemed to be losing his marbles. I had been going to him for years and we built a lot of trust. However, when I took in my gargoyle gecko the vet got bit and shook my gecko off his hand rather violently and my gecko got smacked into the wall. Pedro my chameleon has only ever seen this vet. He told me Pedro has genetic eye issues causing his tear ducts to be misshapen and that he needs them flushed every once and a while with saline at home and to give him vitamin A supplements once a week. I argued that those supplements can be overdone very easily and should only be given once a month but he insisted on once a week. I only give them 2 times a month as a compromise and it seems to be working ok. I do flush his eyes at home with saline and a curved tip syringe but I am worried about the saline getting into his lungs or causing further damage. As of today I noticed Pedro has excess mucus in his mouth and a white spot in the back of his throat. I will be calling a new vet today to make an appointment and see what they think the best course of action is. This vet is also closer to me since I’ve moved. Old vet also said his one eye has an enlarged pupil because of the pressure of excessive gunk in his eye but at the same time assured me all the gunk is gone from his eye. And yet the pupil is still enlarged. Wish me luck please!! Pedro is my everything.

This guy is sooo cute and sweet but obviously deserves better. I can’t take him in but it broke my heart seeing the conditions he is kept in. I don’t know much about birds, but I feel so bad for him.

My veiled chameleon Pedro eats alllll of his plants so I frequently have to add new ones. I might have over done it this time tbh. I have POTS and decontaminating and planting the new plants takes all of my energy for the day but Pedro is happy and that’s what matters!!! Highest heart rate was 133 during this whole endeavor XD
