Rockstar support email change successful
After weeks of effort to recover an account tied to a deleted email, over a dozen automatically closed tickets, and immense frustration, I have finally regained access to my account linked to steam.
Enclosed are screenshots of my successful ticket in case it helps anybody else. It is critical to cite GDPR rights to rectify inaccurate information on an account.
To prove ownership, I provided a screenshot of an archived email showing the account was created on the date specified in the request, a copy of a steam purchase invoice, and (possibly unnecessary) a photo ID.
In their follow-up message, support prompted me with a numbered list of option to clarify the request. DO NOT RESPOND WITH A NUMBER. Starting your reply with a number results in automatic closure. My reply is in the screenshot. Make sure to include the steam ID number (not the username) in the reply to add further proof of identity and ownership of the linked account.
