Super excited to share my first robinhood since beginning archery!
Only at 20yds because thats the longest range I can achieve in my yard, but still happy!

Got my Archiebowman bow off eBay today and put some arrows through it. I freaking love it! I shoot it so much better than my recurve for some reason, i feel like the lack of a shelf for the arrow to rest on plays a significant part. Do I need to be worried about the light scratches the arrows leave behind when I shoot or is that completely normal wear and tear?
Hi all, I am in the US and looking for a long bow for some fun back yard shooting. I have been shooting a 55# recurve and a 70# compound bow for years now. I am looking to add a proper long bow to the collection. After researching a bit, I am quite lost about what needs to be considered most aside from draw weight. I do prefer the idea of a traditional ELB without the shelf or other bells and whistles.
My budget is $300, located in PNW USA i am 6’3” 250 with plenty enough muscle to handle a heavier bow, my draw length for my compound bow is set to 31” I am not interested in a high weight war bow, the longest distance I can shoot in my yard is about 25-30 yards and I want it to be a fun relaxing experience, I’d be fine with anything 50-65# I just want to make sure I don’t over draw something, and I am a buy once cry once type of guy, so if I need to save and budget for something that will definitely hold up for me, I am happy to do that. Don’t need top of the line though.
Thanks for any and all recommendations! Cheers!
After shooting a takedown recurve and a diamond edge max for years, I decided to truly get invested into archery. I will be getting a nice new traditional bow, leaning towards a one piece longbow 70” and for my compound bow, I received my final part today to complete the setup. Mathews Arc 34 with Axcel site, hamskea Everest rest, low pro quiver, shrewd QD and Mathew stabilizer as well as the legs. Easton 300 spine 6.5 starter arrows, and the 70# Zmods. She’s a beaut and I have a lot of conditioning to do to start closing groups at 40yds and beyond. Glad to have a hobby to get me outside after a day of staring at a computer.
Hi all, looking for a very specific feedback from people on their experiences in different grip lengths. I like the idea of a do it all staccato that I can open carry, conceal carry and use for home defense, but i hate having a finger or two not fit on the grip.
Easy example for me is that my pinky can’t fit all the way on the end of a standard glock 19, I can easily hold a glock 19x of course, so what are differences in length between the staccato P and the C2? Anybody lose room on the grip enough to not fit their entire hand comfortably on the grip?
Thanks in advance! Excited to join the 2011 club!
