Rian looking Regal
My husband sent this of our little guy enjoying the sunshine in Montana.

I'm in California, but my husband sent this to me of my precious boy, Rian, and his sister, Poppy, a Lab Heeler cross puppy. They play all day!
Nicholas and Alexandra clearly loved each other. If their relationship were just that--abd their marriage and family were just that--they likely would have had sorrow, but perhaps not the ultimate tragedy of dying with their five children in a massacre in a basement.
Alexander III and Minnie didn't want Nicholas to marry Alix. The number one reason, in my opinion, is parents know their children. They knew Nicholas was a kind man, but not a strong leader. They knew he would need a sensible, but outgoing wife to be a successful and popular Tsarina.
Alix is someone they knew from before adulthood. They observed her up close. They could probably tell she likely had General Anxiety Disorder and possibly Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. They saw that she was too worried, too rigid and antisocial to be successful as Tsarina. They probably has major concerns about her personality.
As much as Nicholas loved Alix, ultimately I believe his life, and definitely hers, could have been spared if they married other people. If Nicholas had a sensible wife, as his cousin George did, maybe he would have moved towards constitutional monarchy.
Alix would have been better off married to either a minor German prince, or perhaps one of her English cousins.
Of course, there would have been no OTMA or Alexie. However, when one considers what happened to these children, perhaps it would be best.
Shady Sheehy strikes again. This corrupt stud duck is only in this for the $.
Looks like Flint will be the Republican nominee for Congress. He's a blowhard who blathers about manufactured issues like Transgender Athletes that have zero to do with most of our daily lives.
I cannot tell you how bad it is for ordinary, working-class folks. I worked with a woman who had to choose between gas to get to work and medical treatment for diabetes. There are more people like this than the billionaire and millionaires the current Republican party serves.
The question is, will Montanans make the same mistake they did with Sheehy? Will they think strategically about voting for candidate that will work for affordable healthcare, housing and a better cost of living? Or will they be dazzled by the "I'm a veteran" and Trump endorsement?
Hopefully people will think critically.
