Best way to sell comic collection - in general NOT HERE lol

Hi all - I went over the rules and don't think I'm violating any rules. If I am let me know and I'll either change it or remove the post.

I'm having to get rid of things as I'm going full time RV. Going through my storage unit I found a box of my old comics. Probably the last time I bought a book was in the early 90's. I just spent a few days scanning them all into CLZ.

I don't want to just 'throw them out' - I do care and respect the art too much to do that. I also don't want to spend a lot of time 're-homing' them lol. I was thinking of just putting them in a box and putting them on eBay in one big lot unless you guys have a better idea?

Prime Day Knives?

Anyone snag a knife deal on Prime Day? I got this Cold Steel SR1 Lite for $40. I've been on a bit of a Cold Steel kick lately. I put my recent collection in the pics. I think this one is perfect for EDC. I don't know why people hate on 8cr/Aus 8 steel - it is SUPER tough when done right. I value toughness over edge retention. Check out JoeX's torture test on the SR1 if you don't believe me. :)

Midway has the Cold Steel Verdict for $15.99

For this price I went ahead and snagged one. Lol if nothing else I might sell it for a profit on eBay. :)

Found my old comics in storage. Trying to figure out how to best catalog and store them?

I've always loved comics since I was a kid but didn't realize they were a thing to keep until I was in my late teens and 20's. After a while my interests shifted to other things, but over the weekend I found a couple of boxes of my old comics.

I haven't done much with collecting in years and I know technology has come a long way since then. Are there any apps that help with cataloging a collection and giving a rough idea of value? Probably don't have anything worth much but I'd like to get them out of the boxes and into proper sleeves and store them better.

Lol think I'm sending this one back for being too big

I wanted a big Bowie style folder so ordered this Voyager XL. Amazon had them for $60 which was the same for the smaller versions. Pics don't do it justice. The other knife in the pic is a little over 3" on the blade. I can already tell this won't get used or carried much so I'll probably send it back and get the Large size. But if you want a folder for sword fighting - here ya go. :)

Vosteed Racoon 2.0 second sample arrived

Man the Amazon driver delivered super early this morning. I did end up returning the other one and am glad I did . I love this color combo.

Fit and finish is great. Love the action and everything about it.

However even though I think it's better than the other one, it's still not super sharp. In fact I think in one of the pics if you look at the edge of the blade you can see some bits of paper where it tore it rather than cut.

My expectations might be too high and it is just a factory edge. My previous knife purchases where a Spyderco Persistance, a Land 910, and a Cold Steel Mini Recon 1 (over the past 3-4 months). They were all absolute razors out of the box.

Anyway love the looks and function of the knife. I'll probably just touch up the edge then it will be my daily carry for a while.

Now hopefully I don't have someone tell me to effe off for dragging the Vosteed brand like last time. :)

A little dissapointed in my first Vosteed

Got this Vosteed Racoon yesterday - my first Vosteed ever. Paid $75 after taxes and what I'm a little disapointed in is that it was not sharp out of the box. It wasn't close to shaving hair sharp. I know the factory edge over the life of the knife isn't a big deal, but today you get razor sharp edges on $15 knives this is dissapointing.

I have another sample coming - I couldn't decide on the color I wanted so I ordered both and was going to send one back. Now that I've had to sharpen this one I'm not sure I can return it so I might end up keeping both depending on how much I like the other. It will be interesting to see how the factory edge is on it though. Other than that it is a great knife so far.

Gotta be the best knife for $21 - Land 912

Finally completed the set when I found a Land 912 for $21. The fit and finish of this knife is better than some I've seen around $100. This has to be the best knife out there for around $20. Spine is crowned, perfectly centered, 12c27 steel, and smooth as butter action. Oh and a great frame lock with good jimping.

Already buying stuff again - $9 D2/G10 button lock Flissa

Well I've been purging the collection and have sold about 30 knives but saw this for $9 on Amazon. Hit 'Buy Now' PDQ. :D

What's the best frozen pizza at HEB?

The title says it all. Might save me money just randomly trying different pies. :)

Knife purge?

Lol - I think for me I've reached kind of an insane level for the number of pocket knives I own. Pictured are just a few of mine - and I've already sold off 15 or so.

First off - I'm not trying to sell these in the group period (been using ebay so far).

Do you guys ever go through and get rid of stuff? If so what's the best way to do it? I was hoping to get it down to like a half dozen but I have some that are autos (hard to sell - no online places. Only pawnshops and directly to someone) and counterfeits (illegal to sell and I don't want to put a counterfeit knife out in the wild). Suggestions and ideas are welcome.

It just seems like a waste - most of them just collect dust in a drawer. I only have about 4 or so I regularly carry.

Love these even though they've gone up a bit in price. Sanrenmu Land 811 (811 is an 810 in black). Also have the Sanrenmu 7010 (now Land 710) which I bought for $10 a few years ago. Super fit and finish on them. The detent on this one was a bit stiff out of the box but I gently flexed the frame lock outward a tad and now it's smooth as butter. Might need to get a 910 to round out the collection.
