Me to my 4 year-old Son when he gave the Mario Galaxy Movie 5 stars while refusing to acknowledge its razor thin plot, lack of character depth, and shameless preference of nostalgia over substance

Yeah, I saw it in theaters. Whatever.
Anyway, it was packed. People were clapping at the dumbest shit, stuff that was not even clap-worthy or impressive. It was honestly just annoying.
So we get to the part where 008 dies and for the first and only time, I just start clapping like crazy. At first, I’m the only one and people start laughing, then more people start joining in. The guy next to my group leans over to me and goes “Right??” It was especially funny since the show obviously plays up the scene to be real sad meanwhile we’re all laughing and celebrating.
Honestly that made going to the theater for the finale worth it, just sharing in a communal celebration of that terrible character meeting her demise.
