Is history rewriting itself?

How do we know things that were created before AI are not currently being altered by AI? I'm afraid this technology can make 1984 possible by changing the narrative in real time when it's convenient. It can even rewrite pre-existing books to change history. This thought scares me as I refuse to use AI while I see everyone around me assuming that if the AI says it then it must be true. Any thoughts on that?

Not sure if I should transition

Good morning everyone! I'm writing here because I'm very confused by a lot of things lately. I am 20 years old and about to start hormones and honestly I'm both exited and scared. Some days I can't wait to start and other days I doubt myself a lot and almost want to cancel it. I'm scared I will regret transitioning because a lot of times in my life I've chased things I thought would make me happy only to regret later.

There is not a day that passes where I don't think about my gender. I didn't even come out to everyone in my life yet because I'm so unsure about it. I pass visually despite being pre-T, but when people think I'm a man instead of feeling happy (like I did when I didn't think I was trans), I feel a knot in my stomach because my voice doesn't pass and I feel like an imposter. I'm scared they will notice and hate me.

I can't even remember exactly what made me think I wasn't a woman in the first place. I just kinda started experimenting with what I like. The more I appeared male the more confidence I had. I spent most of my teens pretending I was one in my head. I tried to change the way I walk and speak to pass more. I still wonder if I haven't tried hard enough to present as a woman, but just being called that makes me sad.

I don't know what to do because as a woman I felt like I should have been male but as a man I feel like an imposter which makes me constantly anxious.

Thank you if you read all this any insight is appreciated.

I don't recognize the world I grew up in

I hate how much AI changed the world and will keep on changing it. I don't understand how everyone seems not to care about it but as someone who is atrending university currently, I feel like I have wasted my time. Most people generate their work using AI and tell me I'm an extremist for hating AI so much.

How am I supposed to like something that is stealing the only jobs that were still fun to do while ruining the environment, allowing for 1984 level amounts of mass surveillance and making our dumb society even dumber! Even then this stuff is just surface level, the impacts are much deeper.

Sometimes I think that life is not worth it anymore because it will be nothing like I imagined it to be. I feel let down by everyone who let this happen. I also resent people for using AI for everything without being able of a single thought on why it could be wrong. I don't know how to keep on going while the future is so bleak. I'm sorry, I needed to vent.
