
ordered my new phone on monday
i made a post in this subreddit asking if anyone knew of any deals that were coming up but i decided to bite the bullet and pay full price for it that day. paid for next day air and just my luck, today is the expected delivery day and i still haven’t received shipping information. there’s no way it’s coming today is there? customer service isn’t very helpful either…they told me they’re still waiting to “capture the payment” which is weird because they took the money out of my account as soon as I made the purchase. has this happened to anyone before?
edit: i just gave them another call and they told me it’s an availability issue and they put in a request for a refund. i don’t know why the first representative told me it was an issue with payment processing and i couldn’t request a refund for shipping until 07/02…i hate when customer support gives completely different answers to the same question.
update: called a third time this evening (i’m very persistent) i was told that it’s not a payment issue, as my payment already went through or an availability issue for the phone itself, it’s an availability issue to the 45W charger i got, which i knew would be delayed anyways, the estimated delivery date said from the jump that it was 08/01. the phone is available…it just hasn’t been handed to USPS yet. rep told me he escalated the issue and i should get an email within the next 24-48 hours with tracking info but the phone will be delivered either tomorrow (07/02) or the following day (07/03) although the shop app no longer shows an estimated delivery date. seems like the first two customer service reps didn’t know what they were talking about…
