So I started visiting stores after stores for macbook Air M5 16GB 512GB. I had been looking for a few months but thought of waiting till june to get the back to school offer.

Then when Tim Cook said that price increases are unavoidable, I thought I can't delay it any further. Also, I have no use of airpods so it wasn't that attractive deal.

So I started actively looking for macbook around 21st june and thought of purchasing it on my birthday the next day. I called up a few stores. They gave offers around 97-98k( including 9000 card offer) but I wanted lower

So I visited croma they said they would give 10% store discount. Then visited reliance they said they would give 11%. again called croma 2 days later and they said they can give 12% max. Then again I visited Reliance digital on 24th and told them that I want to buy it today, croma is offering me 13% (i lied) , so if you match the offer I will buy right now, they initially refused but asked me to wait for sometime and they mailed their teams and stuff. And finally came up with an offer i could not refuse.

I immediately bought it.

After coming home, I opened the news next day and saw, macbook air price have been increased by 30000/-

I was in disbelief what has just happened. I could not believe that I actually accidentally pulled of one of the greatest deals for me.

I thanked God for making me buy the macbook on the last day before price hike. I felt bad for the ones who were waiting for back to school offer. Apple should have atleast given a date after which prices would increase.

Any thoughts? what are your opinions?

(Also asked them to discount apple care but they refused so I purchased apple care at Rs16,700 approx., another 3300/- saving and claimed gst on it, effective apple care plus price was around 14k)
