ADHD, career change, and feeling like I chose the wrong path

After 7–8 years of studying, I’m finally a lawyer, something I had dreamed of becoming since childhood. I first discovered the profession through TV and, rather naively, saw it as a path to becoming very wealthy, especially since I didn’t grow up with much money.
My studies went well despite extreme procrastination and chaotic organization: studying at the last minute, sometimes through the night, and relying on quite a bit of luck. Somehow, I always managed to get by.
The reality check came during my internships. I quickly realized I couldn’t stand spending an entire day in an office. I experienced a lot of distress at work, made many careless mistakes, and basically just forced myself through each internship. Things were often manageable because my supervisors weren’t too demanding or work was slow.
I’ve now been practicing for a few months, and it’s even worse. I’m also realizing that I simply don’t like law and that being a lawyer isn’t a good fit for me.
I was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago and have seen a neuropsychologist and psychiatrist. I’m also seeing a psychologist for my work-related distress. I’m not particularly interested in medication and would ideally like to find a career where I can function well without it.

I’ve been thinking about changing careers for years, but there’s another problem: I tend to hyperfixate on ideas. I’ll suddenly have *the career of my dreams*, become convinced I’ve had a revelation, and then lose all interest a couple of weeks later. It mostly feels like I just don’t want to work at all which makes me feel bad.

Has anyone experienced something similar — ADHD combined with constantly changing career goals/ambitions? How did you tell the difference between a genuine career path that suited you and another “idea of the century” that would disappear a few weeks later?
