Do you remember your first time drinking from the fountain?

Do you remember your first time drinking from the fountain?

If you’ve played Dream Team, you know exactly what this fountain does. If you drink from it, you get a long, unskippable cutscene showing text that explains Mario and Luigi eating lots of Mushrooms and growing to ginormous sizes. Afterward, the game tells you that the brothers can’t get back to normal size, before the GAME OVER screen appears. After a few seconds, Dreambert wakes up Mario and Luigi, revealing that the entire sequence was a dream. Oh, and Mario and Luigi have their HP and BP fully restored.

Oh my goodness… I remember playing this in 2013… I was shocked to see the GAME OVER screen and almost turned off the power. Thankfully I didn’t! That’s an experience I’ll remember.

Did you know there’s a second dream that can occur? I forgot what it was about, but I do remember different music playing during it.

Ralsei defeats Vez'nan in Kingdom Rush (Veteran difficulty)

So my Ralsei plush decided to play Kingdom Rush (fantastic tower defense game) on my iPad. Being the amazing fluffy boi he is, he decided to play through the final stage of the main campaign (The Dark Tower) on Veteran difficulty. Not wanting to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I decided to take screenshots of him playing with my phone. Some images are of very low quality, and I’m sorry for that. I can’t keep my arms still…

During this stage, Vez'nan taunted Ralsei with quotes that are unexpectedly coincidental: he mentions cake, him being made of darkness, and he says he can feel Ralsei’s anger, which is >!actually true considering what we saw in!< >!Deltarune!< >!Chapter 5!<. Nevertheless, Ralsei pushed on with Teslas and Mages, occasionally summoning Reinforcements and using >!his fire powers!<.

After wave 15, Vez'nan decided to come out and fight himself. He didn’t stand a chance at all! Who knew Ralsei was a strategical genius?

The worst bosses in Kingdom Rush history

Yesterday I made a post about the worst heroes in Kingdom Rush, so I thought I’d make one about bosses as well. I love replaying the boss stages in the games, but some of them are very underwhelming or just downright bad. Before I discuss my choices, I want to mention that I don’t consider Sha'Tra in Vengeance a boss. If he was, we’d have to defeat him, but he’s just a stage hazard. Anyways, here I go:

Nazeru: Frontiers’ first boss is a joke. I get that he’s the first boss, but he goes down quickly from Crossbows and Archmages, and he’s pathetically easy. At least The Juggernaut and Bolgur (and to a lesser extent, Goregrind) put up better fights than this guy. The only issue I can see from him is when he surprisingly turns your Barracks into Lesser Efreeti, especially if you have them right at the exit, but I place my Barracks on the left and right sides of the stage.

Leviathan: What a massive disappointment after such a tough level. Leviathan is laughably easy and isn’t a problem at all. He’s super slow, and is forced to stop whenever he disables towers. I might even consider him the worst boss in Frontiers.

High-High Enha: The issue with this guy is his low damage. He has faster speed than Nazeru and sports medium armor, but it’s his damage that holds him back. Bladesingers can pretty much stall him for eternity, preventing him from getting far and summoning enemies. I will say I like his design, but the fight wasn’t that great.

Sir Gerald Lightseeker: This is based on his battle in Vengeance. He’s more of a mini-boss than a main boss, but he’s still mediocre. He has high armor and somewhat high damage, but that can easily be bypassed. He also has the ability to heal twice, but the healing is so small and must stop to do so.

The Winter Queen: She’s incredibly slow, has low HP for a boss and disables towers like Svell Druids can. Furthermore, you can possess Winter Lords to give her a permanent damage curse. Yeah.

Dragon King: While I like his design, he isn’t threatening at all. All he does is spit water and slowly inch his way towards the exit, allowing him to be killed pretty easily. His minions aren’t a problem thanks to those overpowers pots too.

What are your choices? Disagree with mine? Leave a reply!

Who do you think is the worst hero in the franchise?

I haven’t tried out every hero (premium, that’s why), but there are some heroes that are way underpowered compared to others. For me, two come to mind:

Alleria Swiftwind: While she attacks with fast ranged attacks, she is terrible in melee and doesn’t do much damage even from afar. Multishot also could be better. Wildcat is another blocker, but its stats are weak. Unfortunately she’s the worst in the first game in my opinion. Bolin Farslayer is probably a close second, but I haven’t used him since the Flash Days…

Mirage: Mirage suffers from low damage and HP. She’s got 3 passive abilities, one of which just increases her move speed, which is a waste. Further attack range isn’t that good, and her dodge ability forces her to step back, making her an unreliable blocker. The multiple charging Mirages and Backstab are the only “good” abilities she’s got, and they don’t save her. Heck, Backstab is reliant on RNG, which doesn’t help Mirage at all.

I heard Xin is also bad, but I haven’t really used him. I hear a lot of people declare Cronan as one of the worst, but I enjoyed having him when I was younger.

Who do you all think is the worst?

How’d you feel when Ralsei did THIS? (CHAPTER 5 SPOILERS)

For me, I was surprised to see Ralsei use fire magic. I thought he was kind and gentle, but chapter 4 showed he can be fierce, and it only grew during chapter 5. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised because Toriel and Asgore used fire magic in Undertale, but this makes me wonder if he’ll use this against enemies in the last 2 chapters.

Were you surprised?
