I am torn between trying to find a surgical option for pain relief and reconstruction, or making the choice to electively amputate my foot and try a prosthetic. To those who chose amputation for chronic foot conditions, how is your journey going with amputation and the prosthetic? Did it give you your life back and resolve the pain?
To those who chose further reconstructive surgery, was it worth it? I want to know the realistic pros and cons of both paths before I make a final decision with my doctors. Thank you.
