Hair fibers to SMP

I will try and keep it short!

I have been trapped behind hair fibers for 10+ years due to mainly being in denial about my hairloss to the point where after washing I wouldn't even look in the mirror to check how bad it really was, I would quickly put in the fibers which would take 40minutes to construct. I would avoid any activities that would impact my hair, like swimming with my children etc this really made me soo down, missing on memories all because of my hair! I knew I had to accept my hair loss and start talking about it to my wife and children but couldn't!

I didn't want a hair transplant due to recovery time and the chance it could fail, the past 2 years I discovered SMP and was very interested in it and thought this is my way OUT of this nightmare and would look like I chose to shave my head compared to going from a guy with hair then straight up BALD!  3 months ago I took the plunge and put down my deposit to under go SMP.

I braved the shave the day before my session and I was terrified to the point of shaking. Fast forward to now and I'm free! words can't express the relief I'm feeling. it's been 10days after my 3rd session and damn it looks good! better than my real hair on the sides and back lol. I have my final 4th session in 3 months for any tweaks as my scalp did go very red during it from the 10years of fibers drying out my skin which could have led to missing a few SMP pigments here and there.

Sorry this is long, I wanted to share my story and hopefully it will help others in the same situation, hairloss can effect people in so many ways and I'm pleased I took the SMP path.

I want to also shout out to Paul Clark from Legends Clinic who did the work! He is truly a craftsman at SMP, a really talented guy and down to earth guy with no bullshit. Do you research on your artist and don't go cheap!

Glass reflections SMP

Anyone noticed how bad your scalp (SMP) looks outside in glass reflections ( in shade and daylight behind you) even if you shave, the texture between your hair on the sides to smooth on top is so obvious.

I just hope this is just a glass thing and not how people see your scalp in real life outside.

Scalp help

Hi, very happy with my SMP (on second session) I do have some hair at the front and no matter how short I shave it, it's like little sandpaper bumps around the follicle, this is making my SMP visible in certain lighting especially using Zeroshine. What could this be?

Thanks

**EDIT**

Using a foil shaver on this part of my head works best and now blends nicely. I use a electric head shaver which works so well around my head but not at the front which is strange. I am also over thinking things haha thanks all

Spots!!

Second session locked in and super happy with the results so far, it's been 6 days but SMP seems to have trigged spots, redness went after 3 days, I know it's been 6 days but even on my first session I still had spots after 14days unless I need more time to heal.

Maybe it's ingrown hairs from shaving as I still have a bit of hair at the front (only braved the shave 3weeks ago) I have had in the past mild seborrheic dermatitis (about 10 years back) has the needles trigged it maybe and if so what can I use to treat it and not affect the SMP work.

Any advice would be great, the spots are just annoying me.

(First pic before SMP with no spots)

Best healing lotion

Hi All,

Had my second session and my scalp is very red at the moment, after my 4th day I can start to hydrate and moisturise my scalp. What's the best location for reducing redness completely from SMP.

ChatGPT suggests roche-posay cicaplast baume b5+, my artist said to use Nivia aftersun but I found this irritated my scalp on my first session and looking for alternatives for the best healing product.

Thanks

I did it!

I have been hiding under hair fibers for 10 years and finally took the courage to shave it off and wow I'm soo glad I did! I wish I did this sooner, anyone sitting on the fence just do it.

You will have all these thoughts in your head if your head shape is going to look strange but removing the "hair bulk" your head just looks smaller and cleaner afterwards, here's to freedom. 🍻

Hi All,

M39, I'm alot wiser now and would like to start improving my skin. I have these sun spots from over the years and looking to clear them or at least lighten them. I would like to remove the one partially next to my eye. What's the best over all face treatment that will help me.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone got good examples of SMP but having the crown slightly thinning on purpose so it looks more natural. I'm a NW 5-6, my crown is pretty much bald and have hair at the front, I'm thinking of maybe making it slightly thinning so it's more realistic and the reason why I shave my hair down. Cheers
