Hey! I'm looking to buy a used pair of XM3s or XM5s - as a daily // to go over IEMs for ANC.

The XM3s would run me ¥6000 + a couple thousand to replace cracked side casing, headband and ear cups (I'm confident with the repair, this is no worries)

The XM5s would run me ~¥16000

My main question is does the xm5 improve ANC and build/comfort enough to justify the extra 6000ish yen plus the lack of foldability? Or should I just get the XM3s (these will be worn outside, put in a relatively small bag for school and also worn on planes, trains and busses).

Buying a laptop going into 6th form, then uni for engineering after and need some recs.

2 in 1 because I was originally going for an iPad Pro for notetaking but realised I'd probably need a laptop for uni stuff.

Notetaking in classes/lectures, photo editing (Lightroom/Resolve/PS), video editing (1080p, Resolve/AE, I have a workstation for rendering so it's not too important)

2in1 with pen support, Would prefer EMR But afaik thats only on Samsung options and I don't think its insanely necessary, just slightly more convenient.

• Intended usage

Lightroom, Resolve, PS, AE, Python, Apex Legends, Minecraft, Roblox, CS, Wuthering Waves (120fps for CS and Apex, fine with dropping settings for those.)

• Desired battery life

Buying a device for 6th form then Uni (probably engineering)

I have a powerful desktop already

Its between a 2 in 1 windows/linux laptop and the iPad Pro M4 13in, budget around £800.

Storage isn't really a concern since I have NAS I can back up to

Gonna do light photo editing in Davinci Resolve (if I do video itll probably be at most 1080p)

A tablet mode (ie. folds around onto itself into a screen only form factor) is essential.

Ideally OLED or Mini LED

If I do go laptop, what do I buy?

Going into Y12 next year and I can buy either an iPad (M1 or faster), Android tablet (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or higher) or a laptop (x86 or Apple Silicon, probably not ARM).

Just curious as to what others use/reccomend and if they find a touchscreen is useful.

I'm taking Further/Maths, Physics and Chem for reference, and will probably take the device to uni if I can (engineering chances are).

Shying away from Android purely because of lack of Davinci Resolve support (not a dealbreaker just a nice to have)

I have a printer and a powerful desktop at home (more powerful than any carryable laptop)

Obviously the advantages of tablet options are portability and weight (+ a touchscreen on the Mac/iPad side) while a laptop would be more powerful, better at multitasking and be nicer to type on.

My mum wants a cordless vacuum to replace/supplement our Dyson Big Ball Animal 2, and I've found 3 choices that seem to fit budget and use case:

Dyson v11 Absolute / Outsize

Samsung Bespoke AI Jet

Miele HX1/2

My main concern however is longevity. I hear that Dyson build quality has fallen off (and I've seen it with our big ball) so Im shying away from them despite supposed better performance.

My requirements are:

Tool free battery swap

Docking station for charging

Pick up pet hair on low pile carpet and furniture

So between those 3 (or any other you might recommend), what should I go for?

I'm willing to buy used from eBay, or new from any reputable retailer.
