#ScreenshotSaturday — Environmental Hazards, Interrupts & Wizard Spells

Hi everyone, another preview of my game, testing more of the 4e-inspired combat.

This week I've been working on polish interrupts, environmental hazards (pits and explosive barrels), and testing Wizard spells.

The starting party is Wizard, Warrior and Ranger.

Still early, but It's starting to get a better feel for how these systems interact during an encounter.

First Gameplay Tactical Game based on DND4e

I've been working on my first godot game, a tactical roguelike inspired by D&D 4e.

It's built around turn-based tactical combat, AP/action economy, positioning, powers, and procedural dungeon runs. I'm aiming for something that feels like playing a tabletop RPG through a pixel-art game.

Still very much a work in progress, but here's a short gameplay clip from the current build.

UAE criminal cassation pending, travel ban remains active — any procedural remedy besides asking the Public Prosecution again?

Trying to figure out what options are actually left here, hoping someone who's dealt with UAE cassation procedure or the Public Prosecution can point me in the right direction.

Quick background: acquitted at first instance, appeal court upheld the acquittal. Before the cassation window closed, a few requests went in asking the Public Prosecution to lift the travel ban — all rejected, basically on the grounds that the case wasn't final yet since cassation was still possible. Then the Public Prosecution itself filed the cassation (not the defendant), so now it's sitting with the Court of Cassation with no hearing date in sight.

Also tried a humanitarian request to get the ban reconsidered given how long this has dragged on — rejected. And a request to get the cassation itself expedited on humanitarian grounds — also rejected. The humanitarian angle here is mainly that residence status can't be renewed while the case is open, and it's now been well over a year with nothing scheduled.

So at this point it's not really about convincing the Public Prosecution anymore, since that's been tried a few times already and the answer's always no. What I'm actually trying to figure out is whether the authority to deal with the travel ban has shifted anywhere now that it's with the Court of Cassation, or if it's still 100% the Prosecution's call. Is there any kind of direct application to the Cassation Court itself for something like a suspension or reconsideration, instead of going back through the Prosecution every time? And if the Prosecution's already said no twice, is there some other channel — Ministry of Justice grievance, Dubai Courts complaints, anything — that actually has teeth here, or does everything realistically route back through the same office?

Mainly just want to know if anyone's seen this exact situation play out — prosecution appeals an acquittal, travel ban stays active indefinitely, no hearing scheduled — and what actually got things moving, if anything.

Not trying to relitigate the case or dodge the process, genuinely just trying to understand what's procedurally possible while this sits in limbo.
