Is this chicken pox?

My son (13m old) just started nursery around 3 weeks ago. Yesterday evening I noticed a couple of suspicious red spots on his tummy. Over the last 24 hours he’s developed a tonne more. Was pretty much prepping myself for chicken pox (he is otherwise completely fine at the moment) however it’s been 24 hours since that first spot and they don’t seem to be developing into the classic fluid filled blisters. I can’t find anything else that it could be. I’m getting a bit concerned now. As I said - no temp, eating & drinking fine. Sleep last night was absolutely awful but other than that seems ok. Some of the spots are also pretty big!? I don’t know if 1 or 2 maaaaybe have what’s starting to look like a whitehead. Obviously it’s Friday night and the weekend tomorrow so anticipating it might be an urgent care job, but wondering if anyone’s seen anything similar?

My oura ring is pretty accurate for sleep, flagging when I’m sick, telling me off after I’ve drunk too much alcohol. Anyway, yesterday I got a ‘major signs’ alert from the symptoms (though said no biometric stood out) radar but felt fine. Was freaking out I was going to get ill. This morning I was struck down with an aura migraine where I get a big blind spot and then feel wiped for the rest of the day (I get these occasionally maybe 2-3 times a year). I think it was flagging the ‘prodrome’ phase. I’m seriously impressed that it picked that up. Have any other aura migraine sufferers had anything similar before an attack?
