Realistically if you were a camper, would you be Percy's friend? [All]

I mean no offense to my boy Percy, but he kinda brings misfortune to everyone he meets, sure they don't die (except for Silena) but honestly it isn't a risk I would take, I'd rather be a background character giving moral support. (Besides I think he will be closer to the 7 in terms of friends and he is basically always on a quest anyways)

Genuine question, what do y'all think about those YouTube channels that recap whole manwhas?

I personally like watching YouTubers recap whole manwha's for me more than reading, it's kinda like an audio book when I'm doing work

Unpopular opinion: I didn't care/like annabeth [all]

This is just my opinion feel free to share your own opinion as long as it's not unnecessarily hateful.

First of all, I think my dislike of her was the first time she was introduced in the books, her "testing Percy" really gave such B word energy (I only say this because this would be how I feel if I was in Percy shoes in that scenario)

Second, her attitude and behavior towards Rachel. (This one isn't such a serious topic in why I don't like her I just thought I would share) Rachel was literally helping them out of her own volition wanting no compensation but nooo annabeth just had to look down on Rachel even if Rachel was helping them like A LOT, not to mention the riddle thing that wasted so much of their time. (But in this part I understand annabeth because she is insecure, she's prideful, she's a teenager and stuff)

Third, how she treats Percy sometimes. (Take this with a pinch of salt) Sometimes she acts so superior to Percy, acting like without her he doesn't know what to do which is very unhealthy especially in a relationship, and Percy is just as capable and smart if he isn't he'll be dead already. Not to mention sometimes she's pretty harsh, sarcastic and dismissive to percy

Yeah that's kinda it, I can see why annabeth is a beloved character and all and I don't hate anyone for liking her. She's a complex character in her own right which is interesting, there are some aspects of her that I do admire like how she used her fatal flaws weakness against arachni.

Do you all think Rick knows about this subreddit and read some of the posts on here?? [All]

I honestly feel bad if he did, this subreddit isn't exactly "intune" with his ideas sometimes (and some expressing their opinions using language and behavior that aren't always friendly), all I'm saying is that this subreddit has a lot of people questioning his choices as an author and how he writes his characters (like Jason, Thalia and etc) and I honestly want him to know that this subreddit is also filled with people expressing their love for the series,.

[general] what would it be like to be a child of Aphrodite that was considered "unattractive"?

Honestly I'm more curious about what Aphrodite will think about the child, would she be a supportive mother? Showing them that "beauty is inside, not outside" or will she be showing some of her umm.. biased side? Liking her less because they were considered unattractive? Oh and the child must be hella insecure, especially when all your siblings have modal like looks. This is just a question since I was bored, I didn't mean to offend anyone.

Sally Jackson appreciation post [general]

Sally Jackson must be the strongest demigod parent out there for raising Percy alone (I DON'T count that sleez bag Gabe), she made sure he was loved, stood up for him, cared, made sure he was safe and stayed in a toxic relationship just for Percy's safety which u hella respect. Honestly if I was a demigod parent I would have put them up for adoption, but Sally who had every reason NOT to like Percy since Poseidon LEFT her when she was pregnant and alone had choosen to love Percy and struggle for Percy for Percy everyday. And that is the power of a mother 🫡🫡 (take some notes Hera)

What do y'all think the campers feelings about mr. D is? [All]

Generally speaking, do you think some campers are jealous of Dionysus kids because their father is here while their divine parents aren't, until they get a feeling some sort of resentment? Does Mr. D kids get embarrassed that their father is here meaning in some ways Mr. D got to see his kids grow up, make silly mistakes as kids typically would (watch his kids die in battle or quests like castor did) who knows am I right? 🤗

This is shade towards castor and Pollux mom [general]

Why the hell would you name your children, twins to be exact on a famous legend of TWINS where part of that famous legend is that ONE OF THE TWINS DIE, sure il give the benefit of the doubt that she didn't know names have power or what not but seriously? Even in normal circumstances why (I realized this after rereading when Sally said she named Percy after perceus bc perceus was one of the heroes that didn't die or something like that)

What do y'all think of hazel in terms of her age gap with frank[all]

I've seen people bashing the Calypso x Leo ship because of the age gap but then I remembered that hazel also technically has an age gap with frank (ofc not as big as Calypso and Leo but you get what I'm getting here) I've not seen much people talking about this and just wanted y'all opinion, what makes her age gap with frank acceptable but Calypso and Leo not?

Am I the only one kinda disappointed at camp half-blood being so.. camp? [All]

No hate to CHB but am I the only one disappointed at how it is in both live action and book? I wanted camp half-blood to be like a camp Jupiter a bit, I wanted to see the architecture, basic things you would see if you lived in Greece long ago and what not. Maybe seeing the campers wearing chitons? The ancient Greeks were very well known for their achievements in science, Symposiums and Innovation in warfare so I would have liked to see such incorporated in CHB.

Question, why doesn't the Athena/Minerva demigods not have snakes as one of their nemesis too? [General]

I was rereading the books and encountered the whole "Athena kid's worst enemy would be arachne's spider" blah blah. But I wonder why snakes are not mixed into this. Idk if Medusa hated Minerva/Athena or not but it wouldn't be out of the question for snakes to REALLY hate Minerva/Athena kids. What do you think? (No hate pls, just a friendly question!)

[general] after Percy made the God's claim they're kids thing, do you think it would be better to be a demigod of a minor deity or an Olympians?

This is just for fun, tell me what you think 🤔
